There have been rumors flying around about two new HKs.
Apparently they were not ready for the Shot Show.
But it seems a HK rep there did confirm two are on the way.
First is a striker fired P30X (not much of a surprise with the new Sig striker gun).
And second a sub-compact P30SK (like the P2000SK).
The P30SK might look something like this -

I've long wished that HK would come out with a pistol more tailored to the CC crowd. Something thinner and lighter than the SK.
I'm not sure I see a great benefit in making the P30 striker fired. If they change something, IMHO they could figure out how to add the match trigger, available in the USP line, to the P30. That would be nice!

Wow that's an insightful opinion.
My FS USP Tactical 45 match trigger is outstanding.
And converting it to Match LEM Hybrid is pure sweetness.
As I look at the parts that make up a USP Match trigger kit.
The two parts that jumped out at me were the Match Hammer Spring and
Match Nickel Plated Flat Sear Spring.
With some research I determined that these USP Match parts are compatible with the P30!
My P30 was a V2 heavy LEM.
Then I converted it to V1 Light LEM (Light LEM TRS/FPBS).
And finally added the USP Match HS and nickle plated flat sear spring.
The Match parts ended up being icing on the cake.
I haven't had it measured.
But the DOA break feels very much like my HK45C Light LEM @ 3.9 lbs.
I'm not big on over travel trigger adjustment screws on a carry gun anyway.
My tuned P30 with match parts has exceeded my expectations.
