Hey all, just wondering if anyone has any idea of what these PM9s with "blemish" are actually like..

Have heard it's most likely something cosmetic, but if anyone has a pic of their PM9 with a blem, I'd be curious to see whats up with them.

Pretty nice savings on one, so I might just do it.

Without exception, every blem I've ever seen has a hole in the barrel......

Seriously, thats what a blem is. Its saying there's a cosmetic defect. The frames are marked as such, and they carry a shorter warranty etc etc. But they're good to go. Good guns. You might get a smear on the lettering or checkering thats not quite as pointy, something like that.

On the other hand, many "blems" are first run guns that were used as display and demo units at various shows by factory reps. I have no idea which is which... my mind is drawing a blank. Were some marked with a U while some had a 2?

Searching here should turn up the answer

Also, there are several YouTube videos describing blems and defects that are in fact normal. Pisses me off that the video posters admit in discussion that they found their pistol to be normal after looking at a few more, but... they don't take the vdeo down. What a bunch of dirtbags!

I have a" blem" PM9. I have no idea where the blem is. I have another PM9 that is not a blem and have gone over both with a fine tooth comb and they are the same, but for the small "B" on the trigger guard. I did save about $100 on the blem!

I have a blemished K9. It's a jewel. If you can live with the sigma of non-perfection, them the blemished guns may be a great deal.

A blem is a gun with a small cosmetic imperfection. They are 100% mechanically sound. If yer not a nit picker pick buy one and shoot it like you stole it. Most carry guns get blemed before the first week is out. It's the nature of the beast.

I'm definitely leaning towards a PM9 w/ a 'blemish' as it'll be a holster/carry gun.
