I shoot a CW40 just fine. Thinking about purchasing a PM40 to take advantage of it's somewhat smaller footprint. Has anyone shot both the CW40 and PW40? Is their any difference in recoil?

Having shot both the PM9 and P9 (same size as CW9) yesterday I can tell you there is a difference in felt recoil in the 9mm. The main difference is the lack of a 3 finger grip allows the gun to jump around more. I noticed very little difference when using the 7 round magazine in the PM9, but it allows a 3 finger grip. My groups with the P9 were about half the size of my 6 round magazine PM9 groups.

I believe you will prefer to shoot the CW, but the PM40 is an accurate little bugger that serves it purpose. The recoil should not really bother a 40 SW shooter. It is definitely not a .22.

I think the PM40 is easier to shoot, and a lot more accurate, than an LCP.
