I sent my pistol in and am approaching the time frame I was quoted. Will kahr send a email or call to say it has shipped or will it just magically arrive one day from FedEx? I just want to be able to be home or have someone home to sign for it. Thanks guys.

Generally it just magically arrives. You might phone or email them and ask for a heads up. Not sure if that usually works or not.

I always ask for confirmation when they ship so I know to expect it. They complied the first time. they said they would on this second tolime as well.

I sent my CM9 back to the factory a while back. I have not yet reached the three week mark that they told me it would take to make the repairs/adjustments. I had the same thoughts about how was I going to arrange to be home to accept delivery and sign for the package.

I sent Kahr an e-mail at about 6:00 a.m., knowing full well that they were not open and not really expecting a response at all.

At about 9:00 a.m., I got a return email from "Jay". He or she (not sure) told me that there is only one person at Kahr who does all the shipping and that the person does not have time to send out emails notifying people that their property is being returned.

On one hand, I was pleasantly surprised to get such a prompt response to my e-mail. On the other hand, as has become fairly common when it comes to dealings with Kahr, I was annoyed.

Really. One guy to deal with the deluge of Kahr returns? No time for a courtesy email saying "hey, we're sorry you had this problem and that it took us so long to get your gun back to you, it's on it's way and heres the tracking number"?

Money is hard to come by in this day and age. Simply having a product for sale is not enough. CEO's of companies are held responsible for the bottom line. They in turn have managers who are responsible for making sure that critical aspects of the business are functioning at a level that will insure growth and income. Customer service is normally at the very top of these concerns. It is often what makes or breaks a company. Somewhere at Kahr, a CEO and or his or her managers have dropped the meat in the sand.

I am a fairly prolific internet purchaser. Everything from high end bicycles, cars, guns and household items, etc. The companies that truly respect my business, the ones that want me to come back and buy from them again, bend over backwards to keep me informed. With Kahr, I just get the feeling that I'm the one being bent over!

I feel your pain. I bought it brand new. Had it for a couple days and had to send it back. I was hoping they might send out a courtesy call or email. But then again I would rather they all keep working and get service work done than answer phone calls and send emails. I hate bothering people. If they overshoot their time frame then I will call them and see what's up. But for the time being I'll wait it out.

I feel your pain as well. My 2 month old Kahr is not right, the slide wobbles forward-aft when it's empty and the rep told me it was normal.

It is normal. The slide to frame is a sliding fit. It has to have some play to function properly. Does the gun go bang? Can you hit the target? Where's the beef?

If you aren't home when Fedx delivers the package Fedx will advise you of their attempt to deliver. Follow the instructions on the note that they leave on your front door. They will not deliver the package unless it's signed for.

I agree that good communication, including tracking information, has become the norm. Kahr could do better.

Two weeks was all it took!! I was eating lunch and the doorbell rang!!! They brought back my KAHR CW 40. The problem I sent out was the trigger went all the way to the frame then I had to squeeze a little harder to get it to fire. Well I sent it back and they fixed it!! The trigger is sweeter than hel and has a nice crisp break to it. I couldn't be happier. I can't wait to get out and out some rounds down it. On the service note it jut said they re-worked the trigger and lube and test fired. I'm one happy Kahr owner right now

It's great when the system works as it should. ;)

General reports indicate that reworked triggers get the deluxe treatment at the mother ship....I'd almost wish I had a problem just to get a factory TLC job.
