View Full Version : Top Gun Supply has SIG Sauer P229 CPO pistols
P229 CPO in .40 S&W for $579.95 + shipping.
I placed my order a couple of hours ago and it has already shipped to my FFL. ;)
Should have it by weeks end.

Does Sig completely inspect and rebuild their CPO guns? If so, that's a pretty good deal.

Muggsy,
From the Top Gun web site ad:
Sig Sauer Certified Pre-Owned P229. Chambered in .40S&W, features 3 dot sights, short extractor, two 12RD magazines, standard factory grip panels, standard trigger and a one year factory warranty. This batch of guns is in like new condition. A Sig Sauer CPO goes through a complete inspection at the factory. Any worn parts are replaced, everything is checked out, lubed and function tested. The pistol is refinished, when necessary.
I like these because they don't have the rail that all the SIG pistols seem to have today.

Good to know. Thanks for the info. I'll pass it along to my son who's a Sig fan.

tempting
So, my P229 came into my FFL yesterday and I picked it up this morning.
This pistol is like NIB!
It came with everything a new SIG would come with except for the plastic SIG carry case.
My FFL took it for new. ;)
I have three extra mags coming and then it range time next week.

I bought a used LNIB P239 357 Sig that rocks!
Rented a P229 357 and loved it.
A good Sig is a keeper.
Enjoy

This 229 is a SIG CPO. I don't know what they might have done to it at SIG but whatever it was, it couldn't have been much, the internals look new.
I'm going to contact SIG CS and ask for the date of mfg. The mags are from 6/2013.

I talked to buddy of mine who bought one for duty carry. He loves it and can't tell the difference from a new one.
I went to my gun club yesterday and fired a total of 377 rds. thru my P229.
I used an assortment of ball and HP ammo.
I had 1 FTF and that was with a Hornady 175 gr. Critical Duty FlexLock bullet. A slight nudge on the rear of the slide and it went home and I continued.
Other than that, this pistol is boring. It doesn't fail, I didn't have to make even the slightest adjustment to the RS.
It is also very accurate.
I think I'm liking this P229. http://sigforum.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

CPO's are a good deal. I purchased a P226 eight years ago and it has shot over 8000 rounds and has been thru many multi day training classes, IDPA matches, and range trips for fun. It has never given me any malfunctions. Now I use it to shoot my suppressor and still runs like a champ. I would not hesitate to get another CPO sig.
