Well, while looking around on Midway USA for more good deals, I ran across a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel for my Glock 23C. I have more 9mm ammo than .40 S&W, so this could come in handy, or so Barth says! :D
I would have preferred a threaded barrel, but no good deals there on that.

The barrel worked fine... just dropped it in with no problems. One of the workers at the range/gun store said not to trust it with my life, though. The extractor on the .40 isn't designed for the 9mm brass. I fired at least 75 rounds with no problems at all. I did have a problem with a few snap caps in function testing prior to the range. Those didn't always extract, but there wasn't the dynamic forces of actual firing, just rapid racking.
If I run out of .40 I can still use the pistol with 9mm, and it was a cheap purchase at $99 plus shipping. :D

Hey,
I am new to this site and from SC.
I have the 9mm Lone Wolf barrel for G23 and I like it. I also have more 9mm than 40. I shot about 50 rounds w/o a malfunction using 9mm mags. Ebay has ones with threaded barrels.

I have a Gen 4 G19 and a G21 SF as well and I added some Lone Wolf stuff to all of them... a small shopping spree at Midway. I got the extended slide locks and a stainless recoil assembly for the G21. The recoil assembly still doesn't stay in place when I remove the slide, but the gun seems to function okay.
I put extended mag releases and slide releases on all of them already. I have a large supply of mags for all of them, but so far, carry none of them concealed. That's the job for my thinner, more compact Kahrs. They lack in capacity, but I carry the highest capacity mag as a spare.
Welcome to the forum, by the way.

I've got a couple thousand rounds through a Glock G27 with a 9mm conversion barrel.
It's just as reliable as in 40 S&W.
That's just the way it is.

I can appreciate that there might be a slight problem with the extractor working with the 9mm, but I haven't seen anything to worry about from the reviews and actual firing. It could be a handy thing to have.
I'm still keeping an eye open for a good deal on a threaded barrel for 9mm, and I keep thinking about a G27 with a ported barrel.

I was on GlockTalk a few days ago and scored a Lone Wolf black threaded barrel with thread protector AND a G17 mag. I jumped on it and got it this morning.
After I test it at the range, my standard .40 to 9mm Lone Wolf barrel will be available for sale.http://i1134.photobucket.com/albums/m620/wyntrout/Glock%209mm%20conversion%20barrels/IMG_6397.jpg

Now if I just find a ported, threaded barrel that would take the place of one of each. (TIC)

I may be interested. I have a Storm Lake 40 to .357sig for my G23 and have been looking for a good deal on a 40 to 9. Not a big fan of that Lone Wolf logo. Why do they do that?

They can hide the logo as they did on the black barrel for an extra $15 I think... blind labeling. That was an included feature of the black one... engraved on the bottom of the barrel lug. The black doesn't seem to hold up as well as the Kahr DLC, though.
I was thinking of $75 shipped included for the stainless one... Priority Mail is $5.95.

The Black Threaded Barrel worked fine... at least 175 rounds with all kinds of magazines, including 33 rounds with no malfunction from my cleaned and lubed Korean 33-rounder. I did have to tighten the thread protector... could leave it off... ever so often. The black finish is not quite as hardy as the Kahr DLC or Nitron finishes. Picture of wear on barrel shroud... came with most of that, though... no biggy. The second photo shows the LW logo on the underside of the lug... a $15 option with their barrels, but included with the black TB.
I'll list the barrel and some magazines in the Market Place.
$75 including Priority USPS shipping for the stainless LW .40 to 9mm conversion... tested with 75 rounds at the range... once... no problems! I can take PayPal or CC.

I have 9mm and 357 Sig conversions for G27, G23, and G22. Mostly used for ammo testing and all work fantastic. Just for grins I picked up an extended G20 length for the G29. I also have a G21 to G20 conversion barrel. I really like the switch barrel concept.

My G27 alone has six barrels in three calibers, three lengths and four finishes.
Join the club - LOL!
I haven't counted lately.
But it seems I've got ~13 additional barrels.

I collect magazines.
How's Texas treating you, Barth? If we ever win the lottery, I'd like to disappear off the grid out there somewhere.
