I am a new Kahr (CW9) owner and have found all the info here to be invaluable in learning about this gun. I saw so many posts about potential problems with reassembly of the slide lock pin that I read and reread some of them several times. I distinctly remember the one about holding it at the 4 o'clock position when initially inserting half way and then turning to the 3 o'clock position as pushing it home. I did have a little bit of a problem with mine , so I went back to the MANUAL and discovered that there is a difference between the cw and the pm,cm reassembly instructions. The cw instructions do NOT say anything about starting at 4 o'clock, etc. However, the cm,pm instructions do specify those clock positions. It's very easy to end up reading the wrong one. I don't know if that is why I initially had some problems or not. I just wanted to highlight this difference in reassembly of the slide lock pins, so if you are new, like me, go back and re-read your manual closely. Thanks for all the help I've learned so far from this forum. I've got a long way to go.

Hello Baklash and welcome to Kahrtalk....I will agree with you that the Kahr manuals could be much clearer and more model specific....I had the same issue with my old CW40 with the 3 o clock/4 o clock deal and didn't really understand what they were talking about and ended up bending the slide stop spring which is how I found Kahrtalk....
Rule of thumb is once you get the pin started in the hole with the witness marks lined up the rest is the same...The pin should go STRAIGHT in at 3 o clock parallel wih the slide and it should snick into place...
Kahr owners manuals are like like many other products and written by lawyers and technical writers that have no idea about what the item is suppose to do...If you have any questions this is the place to come and there are many nice folks here to help who have previously had the exact same problem you are having and know how to fix it...
I recently installed a ceiling fan and the instructiions must have been written in Chinese then translated into Swahili then into English because whatever product the book was talking about didn't have anything to do with a ceiling fan but more likely was installation instructions for a submarine propeller....
Once again welcome aboard and we're glad to have you as a member of the crew...
