I bought a new Baby Eagle II .40 in late October 2013. I've had problems with this and 180gr bullets failing to feed. They get stuck at an odd angle on the feed ramp.
I got in touch with the manufacturer, they had me send it in, polished the feed ramp and I forget what else, and sent it back. All was well the first time I took it to the range but since then I'm right back to FTF probably 1, the first one, out of every 2nd or 3rd magazine loaded.
This problem does not occur with 155 or 165gr ammo, just the 180gr.
Now, my question is this: could the solution be as simple as replacing the recoil spring, maybe with something a little stiffer?
