The last time I fired my PM9 was 6.29.13. This was after it came back from Kahr for the feed ramp modification.

I had a range trip planned for today so I figured I would take the PM9 and fire 100 rds. of WWB 115 gr. ball ammo, just because.

After only 37 rds., this is what happened!

I will contact Kahr CS and ask for a new recoil assembly.

I can't tell if the nut is stripped or can be screwed back on. Some put the weaker loctite on to secure the nut from unscrewing. My grip screws come loose on my mk's so at the range I check them so I don't loose one (like I did before).

Anticipating:

1. "Send it back to Kahr, I'm sure they'll make it right for you".
2. "When you get it back, just shoot it like you stole it".
3. "I've fired over 10 gazillian rounds through mine and it never did that".
4. "There's a thread here on how to fix that".

Seriously, there's zero chance I would ever use my CM9 as a carry gun.
This is just sad.

I agree but I'm not going to comment any further. :(

The nut is not stripped.
I refuse to use a band aid repair remedy for a carry gun.

Do a search for..."insert any gun manufacturer" problems.
You'll find something about everything..I guarantee it.

I would think Kahr uses locktite for assembly, if they don't miss it of course.

I know I said earlier that I wouldn't comment but...the PM9 is all cleaned up and back in the gun safe, where it will stay this time.

To all those with any kind of problem with your CM9 or PM9, best of luck with them and Kahr. :D

I have a question. Why keep a gun you have no confidence in?
Any such firearm would be long gone from my collection forever.

Good question and I have one too.
Why hang around a gun forum like an anchor on a brand you apparently don't like?

Answer to me is no reason what so ever.

I shall arrange travel accommodations. Wish you all the best. I know there's a brand out there that will please you.

I really don't enjoy this. For the record anyone not willing to have an issue addressed by the manufacture before brand bashing and adding negativity to a forum is a troll in my book.

We're wide open to constructive criticism provided attempts are made to get an issue dealt with.

OP is obviously unhappy about having a problem, but no reason to act like a kid with a tantrum in the grocery store. Just fix the damn thing with a little loc tite. This is such a minor issue it is hard to imagine someone acting like this. Many of us have used a little Loctite here. What's the big deal. I hate to see his reaction when a REAL problem arises. Come on man.
