Ok guys and gals, I just scored a nib TP40. It took a little doing and some days waiting but it arrived today. Reduced the grip to accept the 6 round mag, now if it will warm up so I can get to the range. It's suppose to get down to 8 tonite.

I surely would have shot it a few hundred rounds threw it before thoosing any chance of a warranty away ?? You might have even liked it as it was. Id did. I thought I wanted the old model but after some time running it I found it great just like it was. Even carry it up front at a 2:00 position.

Now get on your insulated cover all and go shoot'n

No heated ranges up here. Also I have 10 of the six round mags so it made sense to reduce the frame.

32 degrees, slight westerly wind and I shot 50 rounds. My fingers hurt but I know the pistol functions. Tomorrow more rounds down range.

congrats on the tp40...if a t series ever pops up in my neck of the woods (9mm) I'd take a long look at buying one.

Unless it's just a range gun, it's never a good idea to give up capacity. I switched from a P40 to a TP9 to get the extra capacity.

Well, to each his own. If I wanted capacity I would own a Glock or M&P in 9mm. This is a CCW 7 plus 7 for a reload should be just fine.

Agreed. We each choose where to compromise. The TP is a fine carry gun.

About two years ago I chose to upgrade to 17+1 with a 20-round backup. Feels good.

Not having to reload in the middle of a fight--priceless.
