I have been impressed by my CM40 and have ran about 600 rounds through it with out a hitch. So, I purchased an new K40 in black for $100 less than MSRP. I should be able to pick it up next Friday and then will spend some time at the range.

I own the K40 Covert. I hope you will like yours as much as I do mine. My K40 Covert is definitely a keeper.

If you like the 45 ACP cartridge, I recommend you look into the TP45. I am in total handgun love with that pistol. I hope Obama will pass a Executive Law that makes it Legal and OK for me to marry my TP45. ;>)

The all stainless Kahrs are my favorites.
I rented a P9, P40 and K40 before purchasing my MK40 Elite.

The K40 is one sweet shooter.
You will not be disappointed.

Enjoy your new Kahr.

Congrats on the K40. They are great little shooters! You can't go wrong with the black DLC model. The steel Kahrs are the best!

I'm envious. A K40 is definitely on my "I want one" list.

I recently picked up a new Glock 23 (my first .40 S&W pistol), and now I need a nice thin all metal Kahr for concealed carry in that caliber.

Now for a K45. Come on Kahr, I bet you'd sell a ton of them. .
I'm still waiting on the CM45 to make it to market. I think the .40 is a pretty capable round, but the .45 ACP has always been my favorite semi-auto pistol round for self defense.

You know, I've always been quick to jump on the "I want a steel .45" bandwagon. But as time goes by I am really comfortable shooting my K40. I'm good.

Not that I wouldn't have to buy a K45 if they made one. :o

I too own a k40 covert and I just love it. I like the dlc finish so I'm having it dura/cerakoted. You're gonna love your new pistol. I hear complaints about the weight but that's one of the things I love about mine. It's soaks up much of the recoil that the .40 can dish out in smaller pistols, especially those with polymer frames.

As for a k or t .45? I don't think it will ever happen. I would jump on it but I think it would easily approach the $1000 price point which is a lot of scratch for a pistol that really doesn't have a lot of brand awareness amongst the shooting community. I tell people that I shoot and carry a Kahr and they've usually only heard of them but have no experience with them. I never see steel Kahrs on retailer's shelves unless they're used but I see plenty of polymer pistols. It makes me think that polymer pistols are their bread and butter now. I don't think that a steel .45 would make a great deal of financial sense for Kahr as it would be a slow seller. Let's face it, steel Kahrs and to a lesser degree the p and pm polymer frames, have in a way become the boutique pistols of the concealed carry market. More importantly, I hope I'm wrong because I'd really like to own a k or t .45.

My K40 has been spot on, I have been hitting the range 2-3 times a month. The K40 has been flawless have about 900 rounds shot so far. I also bring my CM40 and generally shoot 200 rounds between the two. Both guns have been the best.
