I have never seen this firearm discussed here. Does anyone own one, and if so, how do you like it?

I haven't had any experience with a P290, but if you like the size, caliber, and weight, it's a SIG. What's not to like?

I ask because I own a P220 st sas and think it's one of the best .45's out there....but I never thought too much of the P250....kind of cheap feeling for a Sig. The P290 has my interest in a small firearm. Let the games continue...............................

Sorry, I didn't mean to be facetious. I also have a P220 and a C3 1911. SIG's were my favorite pistols for years and I had several until I switched to HK, but they are still well made and reliable guns. My problem with the P250 was the trigger - I prefer the Kahr for a DA. Wish I could be more help.

Unless you have small hands move on. The sig 938 blows away the unpopular 290 (A Sig Dog)
The 938's are tack drivers

I have fired both and partially disagree. The 938 is nice but not my cup of tea.. The P290RS I have is a tack driver. Have you fired or have ANY experience with the P290? Who says the P290 is factually unpopular? That sounds like OPINION only and nothing else.

The 290 had some issues when it first came out with light strikes and FTF...The new 290rs is upgraded and most folks on the Sig forum really like theirs and say they are good little shooters...The down side is they are a little heavy but I don't see that as a deal breaker even for pocket carry.....
