I have a PM9, just about 18 months old and about 600 rounds through it. I have the original box, 6 and 7 round mags and have added a crimson trace laser. I love the gun but since buying a P380 about 8 months ago find myself never carrying it anymore and I was thinking about replacing it with a PM45. If I do decide I have a day with the right clothing to carry a larger gun I figure for a few more ounces then the 9 I'd like the 45. Around here there asking about 600 with no laser. What are they going for in your area? I"m not advertising a gun, just want a little advise on prices if any of you have picked up a gently used PM9.

I have seen used PM9 in local gun shops priced at $500-$550. The high end of the range if it has night sights.

It dosen't have night sites but with the CTL I figure it makes up for it. I have to do some checking in my LGS's. I was thinking I might be able to get into a CM45 for about an even trade or put about 300 into getting a PM45.

Personally, I would rather have night sights, than the laser. They're going for about 500-550 locally, with night sights, lots of people really don't want the laser.

My P380 has night sites and I have to agree. I actually put night sites on my Glock G21. It's primarily a night stand gun and I have a rail light but it's nice just seeing it with the glowing sites sitting there. It's much more visible when it's dark. :biggrin1:

My advice is to keep both AND pick up the PM45 if you can.

I find that each has it's place and time when it is the better choice. I also go through "phases" where I'll prefer to carry one more than another. Being that it's winter right now, I seem to mostly be carrying the PM45. In summer, I'll usually favor the K9. Sometimes I need to pocket carry (like at the Dr.'s office) and that's usually the PM9. And sometimes there's a situation where the P380 is the only gun I can conceal.

So there you have it. Keep what ya got, and go get some more. ;)

I have to agree about keeping the pm9 and buying pm45. There are a few that I have sold or traded and kicked myself afterward. As far as the night sites vs laser I have to side with the night sights. I just put a full set of trijicon night sites on my cw9 and love them. It also really makes it hard to find holsters with a laser.

I agree you'll miss it, don't sell it. I would actually pick up another, probably prefer a CW since I already have a PM9. I would really like to get one that somebody is angry with and just can't trust because it broke a feed ramp or something. Discounted of course ;)

I can be cheap like that.

LOL, I have to show your posts to my wife because she always asks me "do you ever get rid of a gun or just bring home another one" I always respond about her fetish with lamps, I think we single handed keep the electric company in business and I get "yeah, but lamps are cheap" :001_tt2:

I just picked up a PM9 with night sights still looks brand new for $460 private sale. Actually gun, case 2 mags, James dean holster, 100 rounds for $560.

Maybe keep it for a year and then decide? I don't think it will loose much value over the course of one year should you then decide to get rid of the nine.

Never sell a Kahr...keep them and they will mate and make more.

So I guess there like Gremlins, never feed them at night and never, I repeat never get them wet. Thinking back, I'm getting OLD, that movie was from like 30 yrs ago:confused:

keep-um--as for the laser, when things go bump in the night and one may not have time to put your glasses on and much easier to see a red dot than a blurr of night sights. jmho

That grip length on that cw9 looks the same size as the cm9. Is it shortened?

I've got no problem seeing without glass's, now reading, that's another story. I keep a Glock 21 on my nightstand with nite sites and a streamlight TLR1 so I can locate it easy with the night sites and find who I"m looking for with the rail light :D

My wife says guns are not for trading. They are for keeping.
Good woman.

And all this time I that thought that guns were for keeping and wives were for trading.
