View Full Version : Magazine dust cover?

I sometimes carry a Kahr CW380 or LCP in my back pocket in a wallet holster. I would like to carry a spare loaded magazine loose in one of my other pockets but am reluctant to do so without some type of dust cover or cap on the cartridge end of the magazine. Does anyone make covers for pistol magazines? I've seen them online for rifle magazines but not for pistols. Anyone know a source?

I've been thinking about getting a couple Sneaky Pete Pocket Protectors...

Remora and StickyHolster also. I carry a Remora in my back pocket. But those sneaky Pete look quite a bit more trim than either of those.

I suppose the sneaky pete would work but I was hoping for something slimmer that wouldn't increase the bulk of the mag too much.

You definitely don't want the remora or sticky then. Both (from the looks of the sneaky Pete) are thicker.

Thinnest thing that comes to mind that'd work in a pocket would be a desantis from the same material as the desantis nemesis pocket holster.

those Sneaky Petes are the slimmest that I've run across. But I've been watching this thread hoping someone would post something slimmer too. I guess you could check with a holster maker and get something custom. Maybe something in horsehide or another thin leather. But that could get pricey.

Good luck.

I hate to volunteer a fellow forum member but you might want to check this out. He might be able to make it with or without the clip.

I find the cases for Costco reading glasses work perfectly for PM9 magazines. You get something like three of them for 6 bucks. They throw in three sets of reading glasses as a bonus. Of course, those much younger than me probably just don't see usefulness.

Shop for a mag pouch. Simple.

I use the Desantis Mag-Packer. Made for the pocket but also works, for me, IWB.

Just keep in mind that if you use a magholder without a clip in the pocket, it must be loose enough on the mag to withdraw the mag while still having enough drag on the pocket to stay in the pocket when you draw the mag.

That's why I carry it IWB.

Did I hear my name?:D

I do make pocket mag holders(no clip). I have made them for many Kahrtalk members.
I mold closely so there is no movement of the top round. And I use a "hook" to catch the holder on the pocket edge during the draw.

Anyone interested just shoot me a PM.

Here is a pic of them, These are made with horsehide leather.
