I'm returning my .45 to Kahr today and I know it states on their website that it must be in the original package but can you put the original package in another bigger box?

I FedEx'd some stuff recently and had it all wrapped up nice in a box. They made me open the box then re-package it in one of theirs. YMMV.
You may want to just take the factory box to the shipper for instructions. Or call ahead.

Thanks for the info. I'm sending it through FedEx also so I won't wrap it up before I go there.

You can wrap it yourself, but it has to meet their standards. their fee is nominal. (That means cheap, Jocko.) :)

Do put the case or box in another box and the shipping label should be as Kahr posts without spelling out Firearms.

Q. What is the procedure for returning my firearm for service or repair?
A. KAHR ARMS DOES NOT ALLOW INDIVIDUALS OR DEALERS TO BRING FIREARMS TO OUR FACTORY FOR REPAIR. GUNS FOR REPAIR MUST BE SENT TO THE FACTORY ACCORDING TO THE INFORMATION OUTLINED BELOW.
Kahr pistols returned to the factory for service or repair should be sent to:
K.A.I.
130 Goddard Memorial Drive
Worcester, MA 01603
Attn: Service Dept.
Confirm the firearm is unloaded before shipping.
I've done this many times in the past and re-used the same boxes for shipping. All of my Kahrs have the plastic cases and I just put them in the smallest box that would hold the case.

I've never had a problem. I put the gun case inside a box, wrap it up, put the gun co.
mailing label on and it's good to go. I've shipped 4 times that way.
