Question on the CM9's listed specs.

Are the listed dimensions of the Kahr CM9 accurate in regards to length, width and weight?

This may seem like a question that doesn't even need to be asked, but it does. I just recently purchased a Sccy CPX-2 because I was looking for something a bit smaller and lighter than my Ruger SR9c for pocket carry. I have carried the SR9c in a pocket, but it's a bit much. Anyway, to make a long story short, the Sccy was listed at 5.7" long, and 4" tall. My Ruger is listed at 6.85" long and 4.61" tall. Therefore I expected it to be considerably smaller. Well in reality, I measured the CPX-2 at 6" long and just under 4.5" tall without a magazine. With mags, the two guns are pretty much identical in height. So, while the Sccy is smaller and lighter, not nearly as much as their incorrect specs suggested. I've seen those incorrect specs repeated in a number of gun reviews so apparently no one else has bothered to actually measure it. I don't really have a problem owning guns I don't really "need" so I'll keep the Sccy for now.

I see how small the CM9 is listed at, I just want to make sure they listed it correctly. I still need to decide if the quality issues are low enough to purchase one, but first things first is the size.

the kahr specs are spot on. I have a cm9 and love it--no problems but I followed the break-in suggestions to the letter--

My CM9 has been flawless from day one. Bought it last January and have shot the heck out of it. As far as size goes it totally disappears in my pocket and waistband. My son ( a Glock man) is amazed by it. Even though he knows I carry it he can't tell by looking. Totally happy with it.

CM9 will fit in a front pocket much nicer than the Ruger SR9C. My son carries a Ruger SR9C IWB,= flawless . There is nothing he would rather carry , but it does print. I carry a CW9 front pocket. Have never been "made". Perfect pocket pistol for casual pants,CW380 too small and everything else too large. My son has mild slide bite from my CM9. I do not.

The CM9 does seem quite small, exactly what I'm looking for. I really don't want a .380 for several reasons such as ammo cost for what you get and availability, and the 9mm is just simply a much better round with many more decent choices, and since I already own 5 other 9mm's, I'd hate to introduce another cartridge type just for one gun.

I have read about the magazine follower problem some seem to have, and some FTF and FTE, but I seem to have pretty good luck with guns and have yet to ever have to send one back to the factory for any reason. I have a cleaning and lube technique that seems to work for me, and I'd just use it one the CM9 as well.

I'm pretty sure I'll be pulling the trigger on one. Literally and as a figure of speech.:D

If you would trust a SCCY, I see no reason to question the quality of a kahr. They are quality firearms. My cm9 has about 1500 flawless rounds down range. I just measured mine, and it was about 4" tall and 5.5" long. Go ahead and pull the trigger. You won't be disappointed.

Cool, the small size is confirmed! I must say though, that I don't trust the Sccy more than Kahr as we speak. I haven't yet shot the Sccy so it's trust is 0 at this point, but it was pretty cheap and figured there wasn't much to lose except apparently...having incorrect specs. The CM9 price is quite a bit more, but certainly more than reasonable, I just don't want to make another purchase without really knowing the facts, and having another gun that doesn't quite fit my criteria.
