Got home from the gun store after picking up my CM9. Wife of course wanted to check out the new toy so I obliged. She takes a hold of the gun and looks at me like :D. Then proceeds to tell me thank you for purchasing her a new semi, and how it will go great next to her SP101. Of course my face turns to  and I'm like what? Then she reminds me we are married and live in Texas. She proceeds to say, "Have you forgotten, what's yours is mine and what's mine is mine." :hurt:

Okay so it didn't completely go like that, but I thought I would make use of the smiley's for my first post. Looking forward to doing some reading and providing input where I can. Can't wait to hit the range and put some ammo through it on Saturday. I would love to eventually use it as my EDC. I'll be taking my CHL test on Sunday, but will be using my Sig to qualify since I just picked up the Kahr and not familiar with it just yet.

Welcome to KahrTalk from down in Corpus Christi!

Glad to hear you picked up a CM9 and found us here.

And sounds like you've got a good Texas Gal there. I'm slowly encouraging the Mrs. on the firearms issue. She's been to the range a couple of times, but hasn't quite caught the bug yet. However, things seem to be looking up. I'm out of town on business this week, and before I left I asked her if she would like me to leave out a pistol for her while I'm gone. Danged if she didn't say yes. I was surprised but really felt better about being gone after that.

Haha step in the right direction! Before you know it she will be browsing for guns herself!

Ha! Wife would have my new P380 except for the heavy slide pull and the fact that she is so in love with her Colt Pony Pocket Lite. She's had that one longer than she has had me!

Selcouth, let me know if she really does want one of her own. Although it says Connecticut only, I'll ship it to Texas if I can keep a loving couple from breaking up.

Selcouth, welcome to the forum, it's a great place!

And remember, a family that shoots together stays together.
My husband and I both love to shoot, and we are serious about self defense.

Corny as it sounds I think sharing a true commitment to self defense enriches our relationship.
Beside it's common for the bad guys to take out the man first (he's their biggest threat),
so it is very possible that the woman will be the one to save the day….if she is trained!

You do realize, that if that really would have happened, she would have been forced to hold a Glock for a week.http://kahrtalk.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

LOL. Sounds like you have nothing to worry about!

LOL I think we just might kiss and make up (Cue 70's porn music). I appreciate the offer, but will have to pass. We have quite a few places around here we like to deal with to help our local mom and pop shops.

Thanks for the welcome! Lurking around this seems like a great bunch of guys and not so much bickering and if there is any it's pretty civil! The wife and I definitely enjoy shooting together. If I'm taken out, he picked the wrong person cause I'll be the first to admit my wife is a better shot. LOL

Whoa!!! We can't have that happen now.

I'm right there with you on that one!
