After cleaning, lubing and manually racking the slide 500 times, I took my new CM9 to the range yesterday.
135 rounds of Magtech 115 grain FMJ: 1 FTE very early, flawless otherwise. I used the slide lock release method to chamber the first round, as per the manual. I'll wait until it loosens up more before trying to slingshot.
Very pleased that at this point, I seem to have gotten a "good one".

Awesome! Congrats on the new gun. Great little pistol and really easy to conceal. What I like about these gun is it's still very accurate for being so small.
Now slap some talon grips on there and you will love it even more!

Sounds like a good range trip! I used the slide stop/release lever until I had 150 or so rounds through the pistol. I then tried the "slingshot" just to see what would happen. The round chambered like it should have. I have used the slingshot method several times since then and have yet to have a malfunction.

Congrats on the new Kahr. It's always nice to read positive range reports on the CM9.
My CM9 is do to arrive this Friday, and hopefully, as with yours, it will be a perfect example of Kahr quality .. :Amflag2:

I think you'll enjoy yours. I just got mine two weekends ago, and last Sunday finally got to take mine out. The results of which can be seen here: http://www.kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=22640
Quite happy so far. I know they're relatively plain looking firearms, but so far it functions quite well. I'm quite happy so far. After 1,000 rounds or so I'll update that and see if I still feel that way. :)

Congratulations. Some folks have excellent CM9's and hopefully you have one.
Is the front edge of your magazine follower unmarked? Some of us have had a problem with the feed ramp hitting that area.

Looks good. Congratulations again. My first follower broke and my second follower developed a crescent shaped mark near the top (crappier pic) even after I sanded down the feed ramp.

Thanks for posting that picture, now I know what to look for. I checked both the mags on my CW9 also and don't see anything.

Going to see how I like the bike tube this week.

Another 130 through the CM9 today. One premature slide lock with a new magazine, otherwise flawless. Has loosened up some but is still pretty stiff. Was able to slingshot chamber the first round with good technique. With sloppy technique - no go. Total of 265 rounds now so officially broken in.
Bike grip worked great, much easier on my hand. Need to work on where to put my pinky as it was occasionally being pinched by the magazine.

My CM9 used to pinch my finger too. Put on a Pierce Extension for pinky rest, no more pinching. Take care and be safe.

135 flawless rounds today (for a total now of 400 through the CM9). Tried the Pearce pinky extension and I prefer shooting with the flush magazine. Just kept my pinky forward and no pinching at all.

The best place for your pinky is curled underneath the grip, against the bottom of the mag base plate.

I had not fired my CM9 in 2 months so it went with me to the range today, (along with my Glock 19) just to run a couple mags of my carry ammo through it (Speer Gold Dot 124 gr JHP). 15 more flawless rounds. Very happy that my CM9 is totally reliable.

Agree. I also filed down and smoothed the two sharp edges on the front of the base plate.
