First 100 rounds yesterday with P45 (out of the box, with slide racked ~100 times) . . . flawless performance with one 5" hole at 7 yards POA.

Outstanding. We really like positive everything went well reports around here. I'm partial to the 45 myself so that makes it even better. Welcome to the kahr lovers hangout. Some pics would be real nice when you find the time. The first hundred were ball ammo?

I have a P45 that I love and it shoots better than I do. Never had a problem either. I kinda want to get a little 45 now. Congrats and welcome.

First 100 were WWB.

I have had the same results with my P45, one hundred rounds of trouble free goodness, mine was with PMC bronze 230's. I hope to get to the range on Wednesday to finnish up the break in process and try some Hp's.

I've had my P45 for a couple months now.
First I racked it a couple hundred times then when I first tried it out I shot 200 WWB FMJ with only 1 failure but I think I 'limp-wristed' it.
Then I sent it off to get it Magna-Ported and ordered a Crimson-Trace laser for it.
Then I shot another 150 WWB with no failures.
The Magna-porting worked great. The already minimal kick was reduced even more with no reduction in accuracy and no increased muzzle flash. It was a little dirtier to clean it seems(or at least looked dirtier since some was on the slide).
The Laser is great except it has no on/off switch so when you grip it it shines and when you are at the range everyone can see how shakey your aim is (more of a problem as I get older).

A noticeable difference with the Magna Porting? I did my K40 and I loved the looks of it but didn't notice a huge difference to me in felt recoil or flip. My son thought it made a big difference????? My PM45 is penciled in for a trip to magna port as well. Again mostly cause I love the looks, as you mentioned the kick is not as big an issue as my 40 really. You got my wheels turning again. I gotta quit hangin out with you guys, your a bad influence.

The reduction in recoil was noticable but not significant.
But since the recoil on a P45 is well controlled, and is more of a push than the kick of a 40, It is possible the 40 and the 45 Magna-Port change effect is different.
And it looks cool.

Like I said before, I bought my P45 used, and have not had problem one with it. I've tried to induce a malfunction and haven't gotten anything. My 1911 comes back harder than my P45. I may put a laser on it then again why fix what's not broken.

but I would have to agree with you. One will notice less felt recoil in a ported 40 cal over a ported 45, as normally a 45 is just not that unpleasant of a gun to shoot, for most reports.

In terms of reliability and trouble-free operation, is the CW45 on par with the P45? I'm getting conflicting messages.

I wanna see a photo of the Ported MK40 when you get it done. I bet that will look so cool on that all steel MK, let alone shoot even nicer..

My K40 I believe was 110 bucks with a LE discount and had it back in less than a week. Very fast turnaround. Came back in the same package I sent it in, didnt even look like they opened it. No idea how they got it out.
The pricing is listed on MagnaPorts website. You don't need to notify them or anything, just mail the slide and barrel in. They will not take the time to let you know it arrived or when they ship it back, it will just show up really fast. No nonsense, no BS, in and out. Looks great. I have no regrets and my PM45 is headed in when the piggy bank is full enough to cover it.
