Buds now has a feature where you can make an offer on new merchandise. I tried it and it's not too bad. You get five rejections, but on your first offer they give you a hint. Go with it. Then you get an hour to change your mind.

If I buy on line it's generally from Grabagun or KYGun. Never did business with Bud's. Sounds like "Let's Make A Deal".

My LGS won't accept transfers from Buds. Guy just said they have had issues with them, but stated they accept from anywhere else.

Too bad, buds usually has some decent pricing and it's not too far from me.

1. Never had an issue with Buds, but.... I always CALL IN my order, never do an online.
2. The "make an offer" is almost always $25 under the price they have on the web, with some exceptions

Bud's has done me well. Courrtney on the phone is very attentive - and makes it all happen in a nice friendly way. With the exception of winter storm shipping delays, everything has arrived in "ok" time. They ususally ship one or two days after you place the order. And they're doing better than in previous years - there were reports of a LOT of shipping mistakes back years ago. It seems they're taking great pains to get it right. That is - the phone folks double check that what you're wanting to get is what you're ordering - verbal descriptions like "You're wanting the stripped AR15 lower from XYZ company, with the A, B and C feature right?" And they email you a reminder to check before acceptance of transfer, and also put the same in a paper inside the outer shipping container, rubber banded to the inner box. They're trying to get it right. I've had seven or eight FFL transactions with Bud's.

Dunno if I like the make an offer, but... Its what they got, so you gotta deal with it.

Other good folks I've dealt with were Impact Guns, Rock River Arms, Bravo Company Mfg, PK Firearms (PK is perhaps the best no nonsense dealer out there) and G&R Tactical, another no nonsense dealer. No-nonsense is: If its on our website, we've got it, and will ship it today if you get your order in before we close. They email a tracking #, and thats that. Very professional.

Nope, I'm not into playing games. Give me your best out the door price and be done with it. I've even been known to pay a few dollars more for good professional service. I'm just not into game playing. What's behind door #2, Bob?

$25 is right, CJB. That about pays for shipping, and our LGSs can't touch the price.

I've also used Gunbroker, which is just Ebay for guns. Too much drama, "reserve not met," "Buy Now" for way too much, 2 days left, then the seller can pick his nose for a week while you call and email him over and over and over.

Buds is easy.

I have used them on more than one occasion...............everything went as planned, no problems. Even made a trade with them.....................

I've never had issues with Buds. I always buy on line or email, never call. KYguns if I'm not mistaken is an sister ship to Buds.

They have come out with some funny stuff lately I don't much care for bidding stuff and an ebay style area but still have the normal this is what we have and this is the price. You'll find me there. If I'm ever not poor again that is.

I've purchased on Gunbroker numerous times without a problem. I would buy from Bud's without hesitation. Also purchased guns from individuals on Armslist.

I have done all three things also..........if you use your better judgement, things go as planned.http://kahrtalk.com/images/icons/icon12.gif

I just made a quick visit to Bud's to check out the make offer deal. As I suspected there's really nothing real to make an offer on.
I did note they has a bunch of Cricket rifles of various flavors that I would make offers on when I need more for the children but other than that mostly junk.

Good way for them to clear out unwanted inventory they shouldn't have bought in the first place.

I don't know, every one of these in-stock rifles from Windham Weaponry has the make offer button.

I just looked again and now see it applies to most everything. You have the make offer option. Have to wonder whats up with that.

I looked at the T series link from another post and sho nuff, make an offer. I wouldn't mind having a T40, I think that would be a good horsepower/size weight ratio.

Whats up with that, is they want you to be a team-Buds member and get the best price up front, after paying them a team-Buds membership fee

I haven't ever purchased a firearm online. I prefer to do my part to support the LGSs. Plus the hunt is half the fun and I've found some great deals even better than what I see online. I do buy plenty of parts and accessories online because you just can't find them locally.

The only time I buy on line is when I can't find what I want locally. I support my LGS, because my LGS supports me. If I need something special in the way of gunsmithing Bud's isn't very convenient.
