I come once again asking for help for my son. He's a recent transplant to the Columbus OH area. He's looking for a good range and or club to go shooting. He's not thrilled with indoor ranges (I don't blame him). The rat just bought a Windham MRC AR15 and wants to go play.

He's taking his CFL course this weekend and will ask those folks but I thought I'd appeal to anyone in the Columbus area here.

He was spoiled here at home and his first work destination. Both locations he was a member of hunting and shooting clubs with superb outdoor ranges. He's struggling trying to find similar facilities out there.
Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

Most of the outdoor ranges in Ohio are run by private clubs. There are a few that are open to the public, but I don't know of one in the Columbus area. A Google search may provide that information. The Ohio Division of Wildlife has a few scattered around the state, but I've never shot at any of them. Have your son contact the ODOW and/or the Buckeye Firearms Association.

+1. Have him check the Buckeye Firearms Assoc website. There are some good looking places listed there. FYI: I plan on shooting IDPA at Ashland Lake Gun Club this season. Starts March 29.

Ashland Lake Gun Club has an excellent facility. I shot there as a guest on several occasions. It's a bit of a drive from Columbus, but it's all Interstate I-71.
