After what is likely a billion dollar study, the facts are released!
"DNA testing can predict that men are at the highest fatal prostate cancer risk, scientists say. "
Damn I'm glad I no longer have to worry about my wife coming down with prostrate cancer!!

A recent study shows that recent studies show what recent studiers want them to show. Specially if there is a gov't grant involved.

On a more serious note, I have been taking fish oil pills for the past several years because was told they would help with cholesterol and help prevent heart disease. NOW studies have determined they don't help prevent heart disease but actually DO increase your chances of getting prostate cancer. :(

That study was completely flawed acceding to my doc. It was explained to me but dang it I can remember why--sorry. Made sense at the time.....

Studies are wonderful. They give our researchers something to do. I don't really pay much attention to them. I've too, much living to do. Last week my doctor asked me if I was taking the cholesterol medicine that he prescribed for me. I told him, "Every morning Doc, with my fried eggs and bacon." If I go I'm going with a smile on my face. :)

Uh, guys... you missed my humor in the first post. Of course "men are at the highest fatal prostate cancer risk" women don't have prostates! That's like getting a million dollar research grant and reporting that women are much more likely to get pregnant than men.

Sorry to get off track. I totally DID get the humor of it. Just made me think of the "supposed" fish oil connection to prostate cancer. Hard to believe even the government would do a study like that though. Are you sure it wasn't a DNA study to see WHAT men are at highest fatal prostate cancer risk?
I'm not making this up, but several studies have clearly shown that frequent ejaculation is the best prevention of prostate disease of any sort, cancers included. The studies also show that it matters not if there is a sexual partner or not.

Yup..heard that too. Need to do it something like 14xs a month or so. Sort of "cleans house" and makes it a less welcome place for cancer causing agents etc to build up. Maybe that's why it's so rare in teens

I underwent a prostrate exam and it immediately relieved my fears of ever becoming gay. :)

I was at my doctors office, and he said he needed to check my prostate. I felt his fingers go in, then realized that both of his hands were on my shoulders. I'll never go to that dentist again.
