This incident happened last October. State Trooper Timothy Stohmeyer faced a "barrage of bullets" while saving the lives of fellow officers, displaying what the report stated as "incredible bravery". The video shows several bullet holes in the windshield right where Trooper Strohmeyer would have been sitting.
The suspect had already murdered 3 other people that morning, and was attempting to flee, when he struck another officer's patrol car head on. And if not for Trooper Strohmeyer arriving when he did, the officer trapped in the wrecked patrol car believes he would have most likely been the 4th victim. Great job Trooper Strohmeyer!

Many events like this occur frequently in the LEO community but the media deems them not newsworthy. The old saying if it bleeds it leads is true way to often.

Thanks TheTman for posting.

This is just one example of why I always support our local police and always give them the benefit of the doubt when their actions are questioned.

I hadn't seen this story anywhere, so I thought I should post it. These brave acts don't get the publicity the abuse cases do. And they should.
