I'm new here and also to the CM9 I own a S&W Shield 9mm and like it so I've added the CM9 to my pistols. I'll keep one in the end and sell the other I like the look and feel of my new CM9 let's see which one I keep our will it be both?

Welcome to the forum.
There is a prep and lube thread that will help get you get started with a breakin. You probably won't have any issues as most don't but just in case a good cleaning and lube before the first range trip will loosen things up for sure.
Let us know if you have any questions.

A man can't have too, many guns. You can always keep the Shield as a safe queen. :)

I vote for keeping both. Maybe time to start a collection?
The Shield has a thumb safety. Could be a little tricky going back and forth in SHTF situation between the two. Having said that I have a Shield .40 S&W.

I don't use the thumb safety on the shield. I have done the prep and lube on the kahr cm9 and racked and dry fired it over 200 times with snap caps. I still have not shot the kahr but if which ever I like the most I'll keep and the other will go. I like the feel of the trigger better on the kahr time will tell.

Agree. Another consideration is to keep a back-up is case one pistol is out of commission for whatever reason.
