Curious what everyone here has done to theres? I'm not looking for a mirror finish, but certainly want to brighten it up a tad. Was thinking of polishing the slide and barrel some. Any advice? I've never done this before.

You can use Liquid Flitz & cotton cloths. The barrel will get some scratches from shooting/ Just do it again. The slide takes a lot of work but can be done. The more you polish the shinier it will get so go slow to get the look you want.

Kahr goes to a lot of trouble to nickel plate the barrel. You might want to contact them to determine if polishing the barrel is a good practice.

I polished the barrel on my mk40 nearly 2 years ago with liquid Flitz & some old cotton undershirts. It only takes a few minutes to shine up the nickel plating. I polished it I didn't sand it so how would polish hurt the Nickel?

I did the same. Liquid Flitz and old t-shirt. Looks really nice and easy to keep that way.

I just put a nice shine on my CW9 slide with Mothers Mag&Aluminum Polish. I'll finish the job with Rennaisance Wax to add a protective coat (not that stainless needs much protection) and make finger prints easier to wipe off. Mothers does a nice job on stainless from a slight shine to a mirror finish. I watched a UTube video on polishing stainless guns with Mothers to get me started.

Only a New Orleans pimp would carry a polished pistol. Who sees the barrel? Are you going to polish the top of the slide and ruin the anti-glare bead blasted finish? I don't know what this country is coming to with a bunch of fancy boys running around in it. You numb nuts probably don't even know that I just pulling your chains. :)

Muggsy, those were wise words spoken by a true Buckeye - I guess some folks are afraid of getting mud on their boots. Lol
