View Full Version : Installed TractionGrips for my wifes CM9

Sunday night, I ordered a set of the "Limited Edition" pink TractionGrips for my wife's CM9 and they arrived today (Thursday). I test fit the grips with the backing on and trimmed 1/32 off around the slide release, following the contour of the grips, then I degreased the gun with alcohol prep swab from my wife's make-up kit, peeled, and cut off the backing on the mag release side of the TractionGrips and lined the grips up and pressed them on that side.

Then I gently heated the whole thing with her hair dryer and peeled off the remaining backing and carefully wrapped the grips around an onto the other side. I heated and pressed and worked them onto the gun and let it cool. It turned out better than I expected and she loves it. :)

I just ordered two more sets in case these ever wear out.

It looks like a Kahr 9mm. Do my eyes deceive me or is that an empty .375 H&H Mag case that you fired in that pistol? What is the muzzle flip like? Go pink!!!!

K_W, let us know if those grips, grab clothing.
For instance the rubber grips on my CZ sp 01 tactical will grab my shirt/cover garment and it makes my gun less concealable.
I've solved the problem with aluma grips, which are also slimmer…. Although I love the feel of the rubber grips.

The gun is not carried.

Rubber grips won't grab clothing if your hand is wrapped around them. Every handgun that I carry has a rubber grip.
