150 rounds burned through the first time, about 100 today. No problems, even with the 8-rnd extra magazine I ordered online. For a 3.5" barrel and non-adjustable sights, I have no complaints. It ate everything I fed it, from ZombieMax to "remanufactured" ammo.

And a funny range story to go with it;

I had just gotten all set up, moved the target out to 21 ft, gave some serious thought to the groups and POA results I got the first range trip. I lined up the sights, and just covered the red of the 10-ring with the front sight and squeezed a round off. What???

Dialed the target back to me and laughed so loud the guy in the next lane came over and said "Really? You should quit and go home now". One shot on the entire target and it was dead-center in the red. That luck didn't last for long, but in 150 rds I only had 2 or 3 that weren't in a ring, and that is a good day for my 60-year old eyes.

My old S&W 639 still out-shot the Kahr, but with the extra barrel length, adjustable sights, single-action trigger and heavier weight, that is as it should be. The Kahr's groups were as good as the groups I got out of my laser-sighted S&W Airweight snubby with a 2" barrel. Don't know why I wrote "636" on the targets, maybe I had the Chief's Special on my mind.

So for those out there who are considering a CW9 and worried like I did after surfing around the net, there are CW9's that are great straight out of the box, a lot of them I bet.

I was happy with these, all shot at either 21 or 25 feet

Nice shooting. All those shots were effective had you been defending yourself.

Nice shooting! The CW9 is an excellent self-defense handgun.

I have found the Kahrs that I have owned always seemed pretty accurate.
