According to a new GAO report, the Department of Homeland Security is planning on buying an massive amount of ammunition over the next four years.

The report shows that Obama’s DHS is contracted to purchase a total 704,390,250 rounds through fiscal year 2018!

David Maurer, the report’s author, says this means each DHS officer will receive approximately 2,500 rounds per year for the next four years, totaling at 10,000 rounds.

(Already this month the DHS placed an order for tens of thousands of sniper rounds — more on that below.)

But it’s not just Homeland Security, other agencies are becoming more and more militarized under Obama’s watch. On January 31, even the United States Postal Service placed an order for ammunition!

“Why do domestic agencies having nothing to do with national defense, such as the Postal Service, the Department of Education, the IRS and the Social Security Administration (SSA), need mass quantities of ammunition and weaponry?”

Sadly, We the People can’t answer this. We have no idea why these purchases are being made and what the federal government is preparing for.

Just think how much money we could save the tax payers if we would all just turn all of our guns in. That way they wouldn't have to worry about us anymore. They could spend more money on refurbishing air force one and golf vacations for the anointed one.

I guess they figure w/ so many new gun totin' DHS agents that have no prior experience w/ firearms, they need 10000 rounds to become proficient. Hell, Jocko's got a 3-to-1 advantage w/ just his PM9. They best practice a ton if they have any intention of taking on the 'come and take it' portion of the American gun owning population...practice ALOT.

By my calculations, there are at least a 100,000 or so in Connecticut alone that don't give a flying sh** how many rounds the DHS buys.
