View Full Version : This is a "joke", but it's too true.

I watched Glenn Beck's Wednesday show last night and I haven't watched last night's, yet, but this joke is a good example of slanting an article to "nudge" public opinion. I didn't take notes and my memory is not that good with names and stuff, but I'll follow up after the "Joke".

"HARLEY RIDER AND THE LION

A Harley biker is riding by the zoo in Washington , DC when he sees a
little girl leaning into the lion's cage.

Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull
her
inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.

The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square
on the nose with a powerful punch.

Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and
the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.

A reporter has watched the whole event. The reporter addressing the Harley
rider says, 'Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I've seen a
man do in my whole life.'

The Harley rider replies, 'Why, it was nothing, really, the lion was
behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger and acted as I felt
right.'

The reporter says, 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a
journalist, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page...
So, what do you do for a living and what political affiliation do you
have?'

The biker replies, 'I'm a U.S. Marine and a Republican.'

The journalist leaves.

The following morning the biker buys the paper to see news of his actions,
and reads, on the front page:

U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT
AND STEALS HIS LUNCH

That pretty much sums up the media's approach to the news these days."

That was the email I got... funny?? Not so much to me, because it's happening all of the time.

Glenn talked about the official propaganda arms of the Wilson and FDR administrations... un-f'ing believable! Progressive Revisionists have made sure that no one heard of these.

Glenn Beck Program (http://www.glennbeck.com/)

The story, or the hidden history, can be followed here. I couldn't begin to do this justice, and you'll be horrified as you see what took place in 1917 with Wilson, and later with FDR, and now with Obama.:

Propaganda in America

May 28, 2010 - 0:24 ET

Watch Glenn Beck weekdays at 5p & 2a ET on Fox News Channel

I'm going to show you the propaganda machines of the Woodrow Wilson and FDR administrations and, more importantly, I'm going to show you the similar machine being built today, with Cass Sunstein leading the charge.

Glenn Beck - Current Events & Politics - Propaganda in America (http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/41221/)

If you're content with the Lame Stream Media's subjective "news" coverage and keeping your head in the sand, then you can just wait until it's too late to do anything about it. Most people, or too many people just listen to the promises of "free" stuff and what they're going to get. Someone has to pay for all of that "stuff" and soon there will be more non-productive people with more demands for new "rights" that someone else must pay for. As there are more demands on the productive and they see that they are "getting to keep" less and less of the fruits of their labor, they, too, will reach a point where they decide they can benefit more by joining the unproductive masses. At some point the society and economy collapses and the government steps in and takes charge... complete control. These "elite" few will now control every aspect of your life and you'll be totally dependent on them for whatever they choose to provide you, and since productivity has all but stopped, goods and services will be strictly rationed and those outspoken against the government will be "punished" by limited shares of the necessities or outright imprisonment.
B.S.? Watch or read the last two shows by Beck... it's all about the propaganda offices of Wilson, FDR, and now Obama. You'll be amazed at how history has been covered up and distorted... the chief architects of Wilson's propaganda were so proud of their work they wrote books and articles about their brilliant work, which was noticed by no less than Adolph Hitler's chief propagandist Goebbels. He liked the book and wrote about implementing those propaganda schemes for "nudging' public opinion. Incredible!
Don't pass up a chance to read or watch the real story about this well under way present day propaganda office and the boasts of all of the four administrations who implemented large scale propaganda programs. you would really have to dig to find this stuff... it's certainly not in "mainstream" history books.

Conspiracy... hell, yes! Theory...? NO. But you can judge for yourself and fact check Glenn's research.

Obama and his cronies have already ridiculed Fox News as a "News" source and tried to cut them out of the White House press pool. This is a tactic that has worked for keeping the media in line... threat of being left out of the loop unless they go along with promoting the White House agenda... the very tactics used by Wilson, FDR, and Goebbels. Obama didn't have to do much persuasion of the Lame Stream Media. See Cartoons at the end.

This crap scares me because too many people aren't paying attention to history or only getting the revised version and ignorant this repetition. You know the familiar saying about being ignorant of history and repeating it... being "doomed to repeat it". Well, it's well under way.

Check out what Jon Voight said about the current administration.

YouTube - Jon Voight calls out Barack Obama (http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=253PiA7zIl4)

It really surprised me.

He's certainly a minority in Hollywood... not the only one, but there aren't many who buck the Hollywood trend and go public as he has done. He certainly pays a price for speaking out like this... less roles are offered him by the Progressive Liberal Left on the Left Coast.

I think he's already made his money and doesn't care if the Hollywood big wigs hire him or not, so he can be as candid as he pleases.

I was first introduced to Rush in December of 1989 when a buddy brought a tape of the day's broadcast to a group camp out. Instead of bass fishing during the peak time around midnight, half of us hung out around the fire listening to this bold, entertaining guy ranting and raving, saying all the things that we all were thinking...and had wished for a lifetime that someone would actually say in a public broadcast. We didn't know for sure if this Limbaugh character would be allowed to breath good air the next day, or if he would be slammed into a cell for breaking the silence that "society" had imposed on "free thinking conservatives" for so many generations. Had it not been for Rush, I don't believe there would have been a "Gingrich Revolution", and by now, we would have already been closer to a European Socialist state than we currently are. Rush opened the door for all the conservative broadcasters that followed.... Buchannan, Liddy, Hamblin, and many others in the 1990's. I would even suspect that Rush was in part responsible for the conservative move towards, and success of Fox News. The last 10-15 years have seen the successes of countless regional conservative broadcasters (like Mark Davis with WBAP in the DFW area of Texas... an occassional substitute for Rush), as well as the new national icons such as Coulter, Hannity, and Beck. Even such journalists as Walter Williams and Cal Thomas have in part, ridden the coat tails of the conservative "coming out party" started by Rush. Glenn Back is his own man, although he has many of the same broadcast characteristics as Rush, he has his own specific passions. Beck is a Constitutionalist, whereas Rush is more into issues that plague society in general. I love to watch, and/or listen to Beck when he is doing his "classroom sessions". He digs deep into history and roots out truths that have been shoved into the hidden recesses, and also depends on more knowledgeable experts to support his stances on each and every subject.

There are many, many Americans that claim to be "conservative", and may well be so, that have never spent the time to listen to the message of these conservative thinkers because they have been convinced by those of the "old guard" that Limbaugh, et al, are nothing but bags of hot air, spewing nothing but ignorance, arrogance and hot air. I still believe that without the conservative broadcaster's revolution started in the late 80's that America would already be fiscally and morally bankrupt like Greece, France, England and most all of the rest of the world. We don't elect these people to be our leaders, but we do need them to keep our ideals and beliefs in the forefront, otherwise we would be overtaken by a totally government dependant counter-culture pushed my the socialists of the world.

Did I stay sort of on topic?

Well said Surv. Well done indeed, I saw a cartoon once that had two flies about to dine on a large pile of poo, just before one did, the other fly stopped him and said not to eat that because is was Limbaugh's and NOBODY swallows his. I never found that to be the case. And yes Beck et. al. have their pet projects, it is nice to be able to hear them then step back and look at the big picture and weave them all together.

I've been listening to Rush for about the same time. I like him alot. I agree with most of what he says. Only problem I have with him is he can come off as abrasive. If you don't listen to him regularly you may not get his Schtick. But with most issues.....he's dead on.:behindsofa:
