Unfortunately my new CW380 had to be sent to Kahr for repairs (great customer service btw) and I was wondering what sort of wait time I can expect. The Kahr website said 2-3 weeks, but I thought someone here may have an idea. It has been 3 weeks so far and I haven't had any contact from Kahr yet.

Mine is there too...I hope it's not much longer for you to get yours back. They must be having lots of warranty work if they are on a 3+ week turnaround.
I bought a new LCP after sending my CW380 back to Kahr for repair. Shot a couple boxes of ammo w/out a single issue. Sights are much improved over the previous design and so is the trigger. Its gonna be a tough decision if the CW380 comes back 100% reliable. If not, will be an easy decision.

It takes two to three days for shipping, both to and from Kahr. That gives them a 9 work day window in which to repair the gun. Patience is a virtue and all good things come to those who wait. I'd rather have them take their time than to have to send my gun back to them a second time. If you can't wait at least three weeks you don't own enough guns. Muggsy has iterated.

I kind of remember now why I gave up using forums a decade ago and the negativity they seem to bring out by their ability to anonymously post things. I am not even sure why I bother to respond to you mugsy, since a reaction is probably what you are looking to get. Firstly, I am extremely patient. I waited 11 months to receive my pistol. I agree that I would like them to have it as long as they need it. It has been there 22 days as of today-- not 9 days as you stated. I of course did not include the shipping days. I own many dozens of firearms of all types and I am also a lifetime NRA member. I was just hoping to get an idea from others if they had an idea of how long it might take. I am definitely not complaining and am very complimentary of the customer service I have received from kahr so far. This is the first kahr I have purchased and didn't have any knowledge of them before I ordered my pistol. Forums like this should be a place to gain knowledge from other friendly owners and not a place to talk down to new owners.

Hello joelwalters, welcome to Kahrtalk...Sorry your first impression of the forum got off to a rough start....Don't pay much attention to ole Muggsy there see he's a **** head to everybody but he's our **** head so we accept him like you would a crazy old uncle you keep locked in the basement....
We are a fun bunch but you have to have thick skin to hang here...I take it you haven't met Jocko yet so please don't judge the rest of us because of a couple of grumpy old men....Seriously this is a great forum unlike any other out there...There are many folks here including those mentiioned that will help another member out with any problems they may be having with their pistols....Ole Jocko has forgotton more about Kahrs that most will ever know and once you get to understand how to read Jockoese he will be a great help and a world of knowledge even if he sometimes has a certain "sheep" odor...
Now I will agree that Kahr is of late having a bit of a problem answering the phone and emails from customers and I'm not going to fan boy that away but I think they will in time correct that problem...Currently there seems to be a bad batch of pistols with broken followers that have been returned and I would imagine the return shipping and repair department are just behind schedule and hopefully will eventually catch up and things will get back to normal at Kahrland....Give them a little more time and let them fix your pistols problems and get it back to you and I think you will enjoy owning a fine pocket pistol and the wait for repair will be well worth it...
Again welcome and please do stick around and enjoy the forum, it really is a fun place to hang out!!!

before getting to bent out of shape here. This is a great forum, we asre here to help. Muggs sure didn't mean anythinb by it either. Not sure hye was even putting u down. I have no doubt kahr wants to get these guns back asap, Until one knows what they are exactly doing, it is har dto tell how long. Normally turn around is fast, we have seen this here many times, but sometimes it drags on due to vendor parts sortage etc. Not makin g alibi'
s, but your question was uch that really no one here can give u an honest answer. Why not email kahr attn; Jasy and ask him . I hear he is back in CW now and he is a super guy to wrk with. Just sayin

I agree that sometimes shortage of repair parts can delay things. It certainly doesn't hurt to send them an email and check status so you don't fall through the cracks.
If you hang awhile you'll understand some of our more colorful members. Getsome described it near perfect. They should probably be in a home but who has the money to cover that kind of expense.
Best we can do it try to keep them in rural areas away from high population densitys. This generally works well as they seem to have a fondness for farm animals.
All we can do is hope your wait is worth it when it gets back. I predict it will be.

Back off, Joel Waters. No one was talking down to you. I was just telling you how it is. Besides, I'm armed and semi-dangerous. How high is up? How long is a piece of string? How long will it take Kahr to turn my gun around? Up is twice as high as half way up, a piece of string is twice as long as half a piece of string and Kahr won't keep you're gun any longer than they have to. They have plenty of guns of their own. Now you know all the secrets of life. Try taking me with a grain of salt. Most of the others do. :D Have you always had a short fuse?

Mine has been there nearly 3.5 months. Kahr blamed my mishap on the ammo. The ammo manufacturer is still investigating.
Lessen learned...own at least two guns.

Normal turn around time is about two to three weeks for most repairs. Your mileage may vary. There's this thing called Murphy's law that sometimes gets in the way.

I know when I sent my p380 back to kahr last Oct. including shipping both ways it was gone between 5-6 weeks. The gunsmith called me when it was repaired and explained to me what he did. All in all I was happy. kahr had it less time than Springfield had my xds.lol

You got off easy, Cloud. Kahr had my my P380 was gone for two months with an assist from my LGS who let his FFL expire. The Christmas and New Years holidays played a role as well. Doo doo happens. Getting it back was a pleasant experience. I missed the little bastard.

I think it must have been a problem with parts. I know some guys on this forum sent their 9mm's and 45's back to karh after I did. And had them repaired and returned before my gun.But all is good .And I'm happy .Just waiting on my lgs to get my cw380 in.
