I have a CW 9 covert and thinking about adding a hogue grip to it. I picked up a cw9 at a gs and it felt great, just a little more grip and and grippy too. My question: Is the grip tacky enough to cause a concealing shirt to ride up on the grip to cause a visual 7 problem. Looking for actual experence.

Thanks
Greg

I use the Hogue Handel Jr grip sleeve on my CW40. Carry it daily in a pancake holster at 4 o'clock OWB. Zero problems with it riding up unless I squat down and lean forward.

Pachmyr tactical grip glove works on both my CM9 and PM45. Just enough to grip without feeling like pine tar on a wooden baseball bat.

Tried a 1.75" bicycle inner tube, not so much to be cheap, but just to see I how I liked it. Have one on my CM9 and CW45 and now see no reason to try anything else.

If you go with a slip on grip make sure that it will stay in place. Nothing is quite as embarrassing as a grip that interferes with a quick mag change during a SHTF situation.

No problem riding up at all with the 1.75" bicycle inner tube method.

Hogue Handall Jr modified to fit a CT laser on a CW9. Feels great, just put the laser on yesterday. Range time this weekend hopefully.

I can see that your mag release is partially covered by the grip sleeve, Barth. That's not a good thing.

Go with a 1.75" inner tube. Custom cut it to cover more of the grip than a factory made slip on and go by a bike shop as they cost nothing out of the junk pile. Have enough grip material for your small handguns and 5 or 6 friends small handguns and could cost zero. Even if you buy new its what?? 6 or 7 bucks from walmart. They stay in place and last. I have one on now for 4 years several 2 and 3 years and it does not move around.

The mag release is on the other side of the gun and is not covered at all.

Which one did you get for your CM9? Don't see any listed for CM/PM9 at the Pachmayr site. All the Kahr models that are listed are new and just now available, according to the site, this month (March). http://www.pachmayr.com/home/tactical-grip-gloves.php

Thanx...

When you push on the mag release doesn't the part in the key hole shaped hole move outward? It does on my 1911.

I tried the sleeves and then secured them with hair spray. None felt right. I went with Traction grips and they do the job without adding bulk.

Just got back from Walmart with my 1.75 bicycle inner tube $5.33 including tax... Took 5 minutes to cut and form fit around the top of the grip and as others have previously said enough material for 5 or 6 more... Fits great... Going to the range for my second 100 rounds tomorrow.... Thx for the heads up...

Yes it does. It's newtons law of relativity. It's one piece. If you push on one end the other end has to go someplace.

Barth must not be thinking of the same thing.

Try the Pachmayr slip on pistol grip size #4, fits Colt Mustang, Walther PPK/S and other .380's. It fits nice and snug and doesn't move. Nice grip without getting too sticky.

OK, I just check and;
1) Yes it does push out.
2) The grip sleeve partially covering it does not impede that action in any way.
3) To be crystal clear, the sleeve does partially cover that part and it still functions perfectly.
4) To elaborate - I've shot, ejected mags and reloaded with box after box of ammo successfully with this configuration.

Get it?

Talon grips.

Not a Kahr, but this is my carry piece when wearing clothes that properly conceal it:

I carried the similar 4516 (mine was a dash 1) for many years. Those are great guns.

I never did like DA/SA the only downfall. Use the DA as a cocking round and your good to go.

Just so you're aware, Barth. It's just old muggsy looking out for your welfare. Those grips have been known to migrate North like and illegal alien. Just sayin'.
