I put my new Wood Grips on my mk today. Had to do a fit of work on the inside of both grips to make them fit flush. But, the new screws seem to be to short. They are hanging on by a couple threads. Can anyone tell me what size the screw is, so I can find a tad longer one? And where I can get them?
Love the new look, but cant shoot it till I get the screw problem solved.

Same thread as any 1911. I'm guess but I think a standard length 1911 screw would work near perfect.
The other option is to deepen the screw recess's but that's a bit more challenging and the more wood there the better for strength.

I had the same problem, I just recesses the the screw hole a bit with a flat head screwdriver, fits flush with a little work

I thought of doing that, but dont want to thin the wood out to much. Gonna go to my local gun shop today and see if he has any longer ones.

I bought a set of 1911 screws at LGS. They worked good. But later I was organizing my gun work area, and of course, I found a identical set in a parts container. Well, at least I have a set of backups now.

And CantFindSh.. Im organized now, bought a 8 drawer wood toolbox from harbor freight, and a 6 drawer plastic organizer. I had bought those screws for some wood grips on my S&W 3913, but took them back off and went with the originals. But the wood is staying on the mk9.
