I like and endorse the technology....for those who want it. It's sad useful advancements have to be so politicized, by both sides.

I see it as the first step to mandating unproven technology.

Are you supposed to sleep with the watch on? Does it allow your spouse to get a second $399 watch compatible with the same bedside gun?

$1399 for a .22LR seems pricey.

It needs to be politicized because it the wet dream of the liberal left. A gun too expensive for the average man to own. More government regulation less freedom. Another case of the government protecting you from yourself. Wake up.

This is just wrong on so many levels:

First of all I don't have any problem with the gun. If shooters want it...they will buy it. Let the market decide. I don't want one.

Second. The New Jersey law is just stupid. When are the citizens of NJ going to wake up and get rid of their goofy representatives? That's where the backlash needs to happen.

Lastly. Freedom is freedom and it goes both ways. The gun maker should be allowed to make it, the LGS should be allowed to sell it, and we should be allowed to buy something else.

I wouldn't care if I could be assured that it'd remain just another option for a gun purchase.

[Would I need two wrist watches, one for my right and one for my left? Four ifin I'm carrying a BUG?]

Edit: Started reading and research on the gun...

"Wristwatch needs to be with 15" of the gun."
"The iW1 watch can be used with multiple iP1 pistols..."

And what about those of us who suffer from Chronophobia, the fear of wearing watches. Would we be exempt. Watches, we don't have no watches. We don't need no stinking watches. :) (With apologies to Humphry Bogart.)

Two thoughts on this:
This is pretty expensive technology. I think the state should subsidize the technology. (buy a smart gun, get a rebate!)

How long before the gun confiscators have some kind of scrambler/hijacking gear with them to disable your guns when they are knocking at your door (assuming they knock?

Although I agree that selling s a gun like this is the right of the gun shop I am glad they pulled it off the shelf.

This does not stop the bad guys at all, just the law abiding gun owners.

All that technology may stop the bad guy from shooting you with your gun, but it won't stop him from shooting you with his gun. What a bunch of nonsense.

I'm working on an electronic jamming device to render you smart gun deaf and dumb. I'm also selling shields to defeat the jamming device. Who'll be my first customer? :)

Good luck keeping it by your bedside. Talk about uncomfortable, sleeping with a watch on. No thank you.

Stupidest idea of the century...this century AND the last one. Well, I take that back. There are a few worse. Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, FDR, LBJ, Carter, and Obama.

Seriously, only way this only-the-owner-allowed technology will EVER get off the ground is biometric technology and even then ONLY once it can be proven to be as reliable (or better) than most modern firearms.
