I like glocks but not the 42. I wish it would have been a 9mm in that size. It is just a touch smaller than a S&W Shield which can be had in 9mm or 40 cal.

Nice size comparison but not really apples to apples.

Nice size comparison but not really apples to apples.
They are both 380, both MSRP for 449, both are polymer, both hold 6+1, both are marketed as small ccw's, both single stack, both are quality, both are accurate.
How are they not apples to apples?
They are similar in every way but size, and I have seen both little and small apples.
BTW, this is just one episode of my series comparing it to other CCW's. Check my channel for the other videos.

It seems to me that you are trying to make the G42 something that it is not. The primary reason to carry a 380 instead of a larger caliber is the size of the pistol. Why carry a G42 that is significantly larger than other 380's, other 9 mm's and even other 40's?
CW380 = 4.96" L X 3.90" H x 0.75" W
CM9 = 5.42" L x 4.00" H x 0.90" W
CM40 = 5.47" L x 4.00" x 0.94" W
G42 = 5.94" L x 4.13" H x 0.94" W
I have no doubt that the G42 will function and sell well, but it is seriously over sized. Even a CM45 is shorter than the G42.

Nice video. I have a 42 and love it. With PrecisionOne you get adequate penetration and expansion. Also have a PM9 and will eventually get a P380. I get that a lot of people think the 42 sucks. This video is for you:)

People like different things. Some want a 380 and maybe not the smallest 380 around so they get the G42. I have learned to appreciate each gun for what it is. A tool. I have a CW 380 and I love it. I also have a CM9 and love it. I would not buy the G42 because I can get a 9mm as the same size as the G42. But that's just me. I also own several Glocks and love them as well. each gun has it's own little nice it falls into. Enjoy and shoot them all!

Nice video but its not much of a comparison due to the size difference. Now to compare it to the PM9 that would be closer.

Seems to me to be the right comparison: 380 versus 380

The comparison is between two guns that people may be considering. This is simply a size comparison between two guns. Nothing more or less. I have 4 comparisons in the series if you wish to view them.

It's a very legitimate comparison. My conclusion is I wouldn't want the Glock when there are better choices. To me, it just doesn't offer any unique features. Thanks for the helpful video.

Sure seems like a good comparison to me, .380 against .380.
The Glock is definitely not a pocket pistol.

Good job on the videos PMO. I know there are fans of all types of guns. Glock fans will buy it because it's a glock AND it's smaller than anything glock currently makes. Would I buy it? No. My MK9, PM9 and P380 are all smaller so to me I wouldn't gain anything. What I don't understand is why glock made it so long? In this type of gun, it's typically purchased for CC and used for defensive purposes. Most self defense shootings occur as we are told, within 5 to 7 yards. The Kahr is deadly within that range and probably a little beyond that. So to me the Kahr has a great advantage in conceal ability. I'm sure the 42 will sell well, after all it's a glock.

They're both nice guns. The Glock is a little more shoot able, and the Kahr is a little more concealable. Although they are both good at those two things.
I heard, and I have no way to know if this is true, but I heard that originally the 42 was gonna be 9mm, but they couldn't get it to run hollow points reliably. Who knows if that's true. All I know is I like the 42, and would like it even better in 9mm.

The 42 is indeed a 9mm sized frame.
That said I'd buy a Glock 25 in a heartbeat. If only I could... It's still larger than the Kahr but with way more rounds available at lower recoil.

The 42 does indeed recoil less than the cw380. However there is no round advantage.
