2009 PM9, no problems vs. 2014 CM9, broken follower.
It definitely looks like the PM9 has a sharper cut angle.
The issue appears to be with the right side of the ramp.
What say you?

Nice pics and comparison!

It looks like someone already removed a bit of material on the PM ramp.

I bought it new from a LGS in 2009, I've done nothing but clean it.

If you look at the ramp pic on the right, it does look like someone took a bit off, on the right hand corner, and if you look at the last pic, again, it looks like someone did some work on the right hand corner, and maybe the face. Not being accusatory, just an observation. It's probably what the CM needs.

I agree. I know you weren't throwing blame, I just wanted clarity.

Thanks

Up to about 500 rounds on my three week old CM9...no issues. I'm feeling left out as my followers (on three different magazines - with rounds nearly equally divided) seem to be holding together fine. Am I just lucky, or will this be happening to me soon?? :-( Additionally, I did email Kahr about the problem (just asking about the issue) and they mailed me a new follower...

I think kahr has been addressing this feed ramp thing. They know, so IMO edkato, ur good to go, just shoot the fokker like u stole it. Never worry about what u can't control. Thats why I always wear a condom. Just sayin

I've got 400 rounds through my month old CM9. So far, no follower problems.

Question, does anybody know why the feed ramp tip has that angle instead of straight across? Just curious

Why yes, I do. The barrel ramp is offset to allow room for the trigger bar and to allow for a lower bore axis to reduce recoil. It is just one of Kahr's patented design features. Why do you ask curious one?

Thanks for the link, very informative! I was just detail stripping my Springfield XD-S and was looking at the differences.
