Bigger .380 coming?

New Kahr 380 coming in a few months I was talking with a gentleman from Kahr and expressed my desire to see a larger 380 pistol in their lineup. He said one was in the works and would be in the marketplace in a few months.. It will be a little longer and taller than the current P380 but the width would be the same. He said he saw the prototype and it is a pocket gun and that it would be easy for ladies and elderly to use.


I saw this on another forum and was wondering whether any of you have heard this?

I'd expect similar size to Glock 42 / Ruger LC 380.

I agree Jocko -- can't see the value in it. Probably just another "somebody said" that never does come to pass.

Probably the same marketing strategy behind the G42, PK380, LC380, etc. They're marketed towards new gun owners who want a cheap gun and think 9mm will recoil too much. As well as women, older people with arthritis, etc., who may be recoil sensitive and have trouble racking the slide of a 9mm.

I think FCastle88 is right. I picked up a CW380 for use in hot weather/light clothing. I was hoping my wife might like it too. However, while she can shoot the weapon OK, she is unable to work the slide with any consistency. She tried a S&W Shield 9mm. There too she shot well and did a little better with the slide but still not consistent. It looks like a revolver is in her future. Meanwhile the CW380 will be my lets go the beach carry.

I like how you put my name in all caps. It's a sign of respect. Otherwise, I might have to take you down a peg or two for those remarks and put you in your place. Between me and Ted we know everything that there is to know about the shooting sports and self defense. A box of rocks could beat you in a spelling bee, you old fart. :)
