My son lost three guns to thieves, but the police recovered the !911 that I gave him. He now owns a gun safe that's bolted to the floor and an alarm system to protect the house. I have no use for people who steal except possibly as human targets.

Welcome back Jocko, I guess. As someone who lost fifteen guns three years ago, I can relate, and I'm sorry.

On that note I got a letter Saturday form the Gwinnett Police Dept. stating that they had one of the stolen pistols and I could pick it up. They didn't tell me which one it was, [I was hoping for the HK Compact USP SS 45 or the PM45] but it turned out to be the Springfield loaded Ultra Compact 1911. It was sorta rough after being gone for over three years, but since it's SS, I can polish it back to new condition. Since it didn't have an idiot mark, I assume it had never been stripped. That makes a total of three recovered out of fifteen stolen - the nickel SIG P220 which I was delighted to get back, a compact XD 45 which i didn't care about and traded for a Kimber, and this Springfield which is okay, I suppose.

Jocko, I've been thinking long and hard about this and finally decided that you need to move to a safer neighborhood. I found a place for you in E. Cleveland, but then had second thoughts. You moving in might lower the property values. I just couldn't do that to the people in the hood. I think that you should stay right where you are and just put bars on the windows. I've always pictured you looking out through bars. Just sayin. :)

I'd like him to move in next door to me. Place is even coming up soon and has a nice carpeted garage to store the hogs in. Property values are all over the map so that's not a concern.
We could have our own reality version of Grumpy Old Men. I think it would be a blast.

Best keep his damn sheep on his own side of the line though, could turn Hatfield and McCoy in a heartbeat.
We even got a Dairy Queen in town for milk shakes.
