I've been looking for a good class sorta close to home. I like to take a minimum of one class a year, so I've been on the hunt.

So has anyone attended classes at RFI (ranger firearms instruction)? The class reviews I've read online seem to be good.

AIRret, I don't know how close to you, but these guys are both coming to MI.

Pannone and Spaulding come very highly recommended. I know nothing about RFI. Given your MAG-40 qual, I am confident your current skill level exceeds the scope of the course you posted.

AIRet,
Do you by chance shoot IDPA? If you take the course you describe, it would help you practice and reinforce your training.

The reason I was thinking handgun I was that a lot of programs require you take "their" series in order. Perhaps I could test out of level I.

Thanks for the other course suggestions, they look great and I will definitely
explore them thoroughly.

Thanks for the help, I want to spend my time and $ wisely when it comes to
handgun (life and death) training!!

I would love to shoot IDPA but we are normally not around SE Michigan or any other location for extended periods of time in the summer. My husband has the dream of seeing the entire US in our 5ht wheel. I've also enjoyed the travel,
especially the wild life and National Parks.

This summer will be primarily spent in Alpena, MI helping out with my Mother-
In-Law. She's 89 and has badly broken her Femur. She's a great Lady and I enjoy the time spent with her.

Lord willing IDPA will be in my future.
Currently we shoot/train once a week so we do get more trigger time than most LEOs.
