Got my first Kahr today. CW 45. Cleaned it completely with alcohol then lubed it with Ballistol. Ran like a champ. Was able to use 4 of my 1911 mags with it. Ran 100 rds so far with no problems.

Congrats. That's the way it's supposed to work!

Congrats on your new CW45. Did you modify the 1911 mags in any way?

Great. Welcome from a former Iowaian and ISU grad. You might check out the New Member Area forum for some good info on new Kahrs.

Welcome from another former Iowan and current CW45 owner. I'm seeing some very good accuracy from my Kahrs.

Oh, the CW 45 holds 1911 mags?

I would like to order a few mags. Would you mind either PM'ing me or telling us?

The 1911 mags I got were the cheap ones from Cheaper Than Dirt. Think I paid $7 each. That was 10 years ago. They are unmarked. They have the stepped follower.
I did not mod them at all. I am going to cut some black poly spacers for them because they stick out about a 1/4".

two examples come to mind; wilson combat 7 rd. 47D(i think), & act mag 7 rd. with metal followers. they may need a little work on the top of the mag to clear the slide, a small file and some polishing. At least they work for my p45, cw45, and even my pm45.

A springfield armory 1911 mag has been working in my CW45.

I've been eyeing adding a CW45 to my CW9 and CW380. How's the recoil? Looks manageable

I really like my cw 45. The recoil is not bad on it at all and it feels really nice in the hand and is very accurate and reliable.

It is probably the lightest recoil I have shot in a 45. I think it equals the Keltec PF9 in recoil.

The recoil for me is just fine. I shot a 100 rd box the other day. No problems with gun at all. and could have shot another 100 rds.
Thanks for the mag used information.

The CW45 is my primary CCW. Shoot it like you stole it.

I just registered tonight and this is my first reply. I have had a cw45 for 2 years now and it has worked flawlessly. Great gun!
