First of all let me say I really like my Kahr cw40.

But, I'm having a problem. While firing my cw40 it continues to eject the magazine. Of coarse the problem is that once that happens it's not gonna fire again.

I have read where some cw40 owners have been filing down the mag release button. That's not an option for me. This should not be happening this appears to be a quality firearm.. I've heard there is a possible fix that I can do with parts sent by Kahr.

Anywho, what is the solution?

Thanks for any help.

Are you shooting right or left-handed?
Is there any chance your thumb is making contact with the mag release during recoil?
Are you absolutely certain the magazine is fully seated? Try it with a mag containing only a few rounds. It will be easier to seat than a full magazine.

If you can replicate the problem shooting from either hand, then you likely have a magazine catch that does not fully engage. Kahr will help.

Oh, and welcome aboard, Shag.

This condition is known as premature ejectulation. It's usually caused by a faulty mag release. It can also be caused by not fully inserting it. We are still talking guns, aren't we?

Is the mag release plastic? Some were and the metal release is will probably cure the problem.
