not that I'd sell my Kahr, hmm, maybe buy more? hehehehe, how does this work? I'd never dream of locally advertising a gun and have buyers in my livingroom. never dream of sticking a gun in a box and sending it off to somebody. only way I can figure this works(for buyer and seller) is that the shipping and paperwork is done by my FFL and your FFL. is that about right? please, any other comments, suggestions? thanks

Why do you have to meet in your living room? I try to sell local and usually meet at the range. If I am the seller I offer them to shoot it first. If I am the buyer I always ask to shoot it first.

If you sell other than locally it does have to go through an FFL, anything out of state.

When selling a gun, I always insist that we do the deal in the parking lot of my cities Police Station.

Grocery store or wally-world parking lot, shooting range, etc. These work fine.

I've "done it" in my church office, in the cab of a pickup in a McD's parking lot, and three times having them shipped to FFL's (KahrTalk, Armslist & Gunbroker).

I've done most of my gun selling at gun shows. No FFL required if the buyer resides within the same state. It's the dreaded gun show loophole.

Go online with Gunbroker or just about any other gun selling site and you'll find a place there to search for FFL dealers who will ship or receive fireams. You input a zipcode and maximum distance and you'll get their contact info and fees. Shop for the best distance from you and lowest fee.

I've sold four guns in the past year, all in Micky D's, Hooters, and shopping mall parking lots.

But I always get the vehicle make and model and color, then give them my wife's car description, I've never had a problem but if the vehicle looked fishy or scary, I could keep moving.

The four guys I sold to all looked like regular guys and had CCW permits. Very smooth transactions.
