Is this normal?

Just bought this cm9 today. While field stripping it i noticed these marks inside the slide. Is this normal? Thanks for any help

To my eyes, it just looks like you have a little front sight material get smushed around a bit... if you're asking about the black crud.

No big deal, shoot it like you stole it!

You can brush that out, or just keep shooting it. Shouldn't interfere and will wear itself outta there in short order (or otherwise pose no threat to things)

not a problem at all.... if it were mine, I'd do the new gun C&L, then go shoot it lots

afterward, maybe run a bore brush in there a little to help loosen things up, but no need to go nuts with it

it probably smushed a little leftover plastic on initial testing at the factory

The front sight is pinned in and flared. You are seeing the bottom of the pins of the sight. It is normal and will polish itself with use. Not to worry, put the magnifying glass back in it's case.
