Here’s my story for the day, since I wanted to shoot my old friend 1911 today I had to do some leg work yesterday the sear has been giving me problems and I knew it had to be replaced wasn’t sure about the hammer. Now I could order parts but that just seemed to long, I have been hearing about this outfit for sometime it’s called EGW Guns they manufacture parts for guns and they are only 10 minutes from home so I called them up and said they would fix me up with the parts I need new sear and disconnector and sear spring they put all that aside for me. Got there and talked to them for awhile met the owner who was a gun smith and comp shooter the manager belongs to my gun club. They looked at my hammer and said is was good and spent some time talking to them. Happy as a clam went home and started to fit my new parts and got every thing good to go. So today went to the range with my old buddy 1911 back in working order and dragged Buzzard45 with me. Got to say we had a blast no pun intended we where the only two there for 2 ½ hours. And yes I had to bring two guns to double the fun ( Ruger Blackhawk) also. So the guys at EGW did me good and got my parts the same day, not bad they said they manufacture for a lot of companies for OEM parts so if you want to look them up here’s the link

Happy bithday Harrylee and thanks for the heads up. I've added them to my favorites list. One can never have too many good sources for gun parts.

I've heard nothing but good things about EGW. I think CJB and a few others here have highly recommended them in the past.

Super cool that they are so close to you. That's a really neat thing.
