I need a good shoulder holster for a cw40 for when I am riding my motorcycle. I am just worried about getting something that flops arround while I am riding which could be dangerous.

is IMO a dandy rig. I ride Harley a hell of alot and when my pM9 is not in my front pocket it is usually in the 5:11 Holster T-Shirt, for about $40. Trust me it is super and no flopping at all. Not a chance of it coming out either, Just top quality stuff as normall 5:11 stuff is. You can order it for NRA Store.com. Nice thing is has a pocket on each side that is well padded, for what ever else u desire to carry also. I would say if you wear a large, then order the next size up as the material is spandex and it fits like a glove, alittle bigger makes it easier to get on and off. I have washed mine about a dozent imes and it still looks new.

really a nice set up.

I wear my Galco shoulder rig a lot. I can conceal it under an oversized polo shirt or 5.11 casual shirt. If you're worried about it "flopping around," strong and off-side tie downs are available.

I recomend the more affordable Classic Lite; very comfortable.

I've played with shoulder rigs from Galco and DeSantis. My BEST experience has been with Mitch Rosen's Express "Stylemaster". I've owned Stylemasters for both the 1911 and my P series Sigs. I find Rosen's stiffer harness carries the guns/mags with much more comfort than the glove leather straps on the two other holsters. As always, YMMV.

I have used the Galco with a T40 and would recommend against the mag carriers. The tiedowns are not very precise either. The straps and holster are exquisite quality, but there is just too much going on there. I believe I am going to go with the HAK (http://www.holsters.org/shoulder-holster.htm)next winter.

Galco makes a very easy to wear Half Harness shoulder holster that I find is comfortable and secure. Being modular, you can attach many different holsters to the harness, Galco part number HH4.
Galco holsters; Holsters; Gun holster, pistol holsters, western holsters, shoulder holsters, leather holster and Glock holsters (http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterP3.asp?ProductID=3195&CatalogID=453)

The holster rides under a wide strap and secures on the other side with a strap and a large belt clip.

Thanks, I ordered the harness...already have the holster. Best price and free shipping was at OpticsPlanet.com (http://www.opticsplanet.net/galco-holsterp1-11.html).

I think that's where I got mine. Let me (us) know your opinion after it arrives.

Ok I looked into the hh4 rig and I don't think it's going to work for me I wear full gear when I ride and I wouldn't have any secure place to clip the belt clip. Oh I should have said I ride a street fighter type bike not a cruiser. Plus I live in Phoenix so the tee shirt thing although it looks cool I try to go as loose fitting as possible. I am greatful for the great ideas though keep em comming.

5:11 Holster T-Shirt provides the best concealment of any under-the-armpit holster I've tried, but for me it has some drawbacks that anyone considering it should be aware of:

1. It's a compression shirt, and you might not like how it squeezes you.

2. The seams, despite being "flat", are still to scratchy for me, so I have to wear it over a T-shirt. With a cover shirt that's three layers of fabric, which is much too hot for my Southwestern summer days.

3. Because the entry to the holster is at chest level, you either have to wear a shirt with snaps down the front (like the 5:11 Tactical Covert Carry Casual shirts), or a light, stretchy shirt (T-shirt or polo shirt, etc.) that you wear untucked; so that you can grab the hem and pull it up high with the off hand, thus exposing the chest-level entry to the holster.

4. Trying to get it off when you're sweaty can be very frustrating. It sticks to you (as pretty much any shirt does when you're sweaty) which increases the difficulty of pulling this elastic compression shirt off over your head.

You do pose a bit of a challenge here. To be honest I don't have much experience using a shoulder rig. I have an Uncle Mikes that I used with a Ruger GP 100 6 inch revolver that my son has confiscated and I have a Passport Concept 90 that I use for a Kahr K9 (actually I cut this one apart to use as patern to make a leather version). Not sure the Passport would work for you as it flops about, it worked fine for me most of the time and I believe it has provision for tie downs.

You might look at Andrews Custom Leather but they are not cheap.

I really like the Firepower Rig but then I haven't had my hands on one as yet either.. I think you might like the solo rig.
