Just ordered a Remora for my cw9, but still looking for a IWB with a belt clip. There seems to be several different styles of metal and kydex clips. I can't decide because I don't have the experience with any of them. Could use some discussion about all the belt clip alternatives.
Baklash, my recommendation, this time, is the same as the last time you asked this question.
For small pistols, I recommend a PJ holster with an integral Kydex clip. It is the most slim, compact, secure, easy to slip on/off holster I could find for this size gun. (This holster would not be my first choice for a full size pistol, however.)
Spring steel clips can abrade leather belts and can be deformed and bent when snagged. I am talking about the type of clips used on Crossbreed and its many copies. The best clips I have found are those sold by Comp-Tac for use on their IWB hybrid holsters (MTAC). Don't interpret this as a recommendation for that holster for your CW9. It is way more holster than that small gun needs. Order a PJ and be done with it. Along with your Remora, you'll have a perfect combination.

Try High Noon holsters. Well made, available, inexpensive and with a solid belt clip.

I like the metal clips used by the Talon Training Group in their IWB holsters. Unlike most metal clips, theirs don't turn loose easily. They are very secure on the belt. But as mentioned above, metal can bend and deform, so you have to be careful with them.

For a very versatile holster, I like the DeSantis Sof-Tuck. It can be adjusted for a wide variety of carry positions, and is pretty comfortable. It's kind of a bear to clip onto your pants, as the clip is very strong and tight. And the outside of the clip has a curl that slips onto the bottom of your belt. They are also fairly inexpensive, under $30, if you order direct from DeSantis. It also has a slot between the holster and clip which allows you to tuck in your shirt. It has strong leather band sewn around the top of the holster so you can re-holster your weapon easily. The bad thing is it's not a grab and go holster, I usually have to put the holster onto my pants before I put them on, because the clip is so strong.

I appreciate all the feedback. RRP, thanks for the reminder about the PJ. I had just about decided on something very similar to exactly what you recommend, but without the long wait. Cook's has something very similar to the PJ including the clip, and Cook's is just a few miles away from me in north Georgia. I wanted to run this by the forum again just to see if I could get any more specific info before I act. I think I can relax now and make the move.:)

They will let you change if you acquire a different carry gun. They sell extra shells if you want to swap Winter and Summer. They go for $29.00
I also like the Desbiens I use with my Nano, about $100 more and a long wait. My Alien came in 8 days.
Got a Eric Hopp holster on order since November 6. Hope to get it by late July. It started out intended for a G26 but will be made for my Dan Wesson ECO 9mm.

I went ahead and bought a comp-tac minotaur neutral few years back for my cw9 ended up buying a tp40 and it works in that's same holster very well and is my main carry now and also found my 1911 fits and works well enough in it for range use as that's all I care about a 1911.
Don't over look the extra cost of the several of the better rigs as they are very comfortable and very adjustable . There belt hooks are the best out there.

These work great for me http://pantherconcealment.com/iwb-holsters.html
Disadvantage of a plastic clip, they can break over time. So you buy a new one off of Amazon. Metal clips can be uncomfortable if your hand brushes against it.
I tried a "J" clip, which goes behind your belt for less visibility, but it was very hard to get into place. Didn't like it at all.

PJ has proven to be a great choice for my PM9. Thin, comfy and secure. Upside is the maker will work with you until it's right. The downside is the 10 week wait. Worth it.

Here's what the PJ IWB holster looks like.

Don't worry! you'r only a real "gun guy/gal" if you have a box o holsters that you no longer like, use, or have a gun for. We all get there sooner or later.:yo:
As to the question; I think that I have used 'bout every kind of attaching clip out there. But I don't really have a preference. I know! not much help:confused:
Have a great day:D:D

Yeah, and I was trying to avoid the "box of holsters" thing, but looks like I'm already on my way  since buying the cw9 a couple months ago. I just bought a Desantis Sof Tuk like TheTMan prefers, but I had the same problem with getting the thing on due to the clip. Just received a Remora yesterday, (no clip!), (haven't had much chance to test it out yet) and will probably order a Cook (looks just like a PJ) as soon as I get the chance to visit their facility near here to personally look over their products. So I'm gobbling up holsters like it could be an addiction or something :hungry: that I'm sure no one else here has to deal with. I always wanted an addiction. ;)
I always wanted an addiction.
Be careful what you wish for, my friend. Guns and accessories are a lot like Lays potato chips.

Ain't you right! Trying to find a cm9 to shoot cause I think it's my next Kahr. I've checked 4 indoor ranges and they say they don't have Kahrs to rent because Kahr doesn't have a program for that like the other manufacturers do. Is that true?
If you lived near me, you could meet me at the range to test-drive a PM9. I bet others would do the same. If you're willing to disclose your location, someone may step-up to help you.

RRP thanks for the offer and suggestion. I'm in north Georgia, north of Atlanta, near Lake Lanier at Gainesville, GA. I shoot at 3 different local indoor ranges. Have Gun, Will Travel. You know, they're still showing reruns of that series?
I'm a long way from you. But we have plenty of members from the South-East. If you decide to hook-up with someone, start a new thread. I bet you'll find others to shoot with.
