well I bought a new all black P45. I had some failure to ejects and knew I have to run some rounds through her before I judge if the gun is reliable. Well it took 650+ rounds just like my P40 and now this gun is ready to carry. I had one failure to fire round in 100 rnds. Since they were reloaded rounds, I don't think it was the gun. I noticed that I cannot just push the slide release when I want to rack the first round from slide lock on reloaded rounds. It wont feed BUT it always feeds from slide lock if I overhand the slide back like I was always trained to do anyway so to me that is a moot point. With that said, the gun is accurate(for me) and seems to feed factory reloaded rounds as well as factory new ammo. In short, dang nice gun. So far both my Kahrs took way more than the 200rnd to break in that the manual says. Expensive break in? Yes but the result is the best carry gun made IMHO. Need a holster now. BTW the P 45 kicks like a mule. Probably equal to the P40 ported with Pearce grip extension. Either you love or hate the long Kahr trigger. Its sooth and doesn't stack up much so I like the safety and the trigger consistency. Reconsidering the stock sights. They are quite nice after all. I can see Big Dots being a natural extension of the factory sights.

Wow, wonder why it kicks like a mule. I didn't see that coming. Figured the larger P would be powder puff. Maybe the bore is a tad higher in your hand since it has more grip.

Try some 180 or 200 gr loads. That should soften her up a bit.
