Bought a new PM45 last Friday but family committments kept me from the gun club range until today. Now that is torture! :D What a sweet little pistol! First 30 shots at 21' to get the feel of it were all within the orange 10 rectangle of a standart human outline target. (Decided 50 rounds was enough for the first time out!) Very easy to come back on target for second and third shots. No failures of any kind and I think it rivals my M & P 45 Compact for being easy to handle. I will say that these 66 year-old hands did find the slide a bit taxing to work.
I have been monitoring this site for some time and want to thank everyone who has been posting for your thoughts, they made my choice to purchase a PM45 easy and the gun itself is all I hoped it would be and more. It is now offically replacing my M & P 45 Compact for everyday carry. I still love it but the M & P just became the "Nightstand Safe Queen".

Welcome aboard, erinboy. It's nice to read a positive range report.

Amen to that, on an other wise crappy day your first post is a huge breath of fresh air.

As a fellow PM45 shooter/carrier I had very similar good fortune with mine and would be very hard pressed to part with it.

I'm glad you found us and today was the perfect day to do it.

Thanks for joining us and I offer you Pedro's protection.

I liked my PM45 sooo much I went and purchased another. I installed a bike tube on the grip to relieve the cheese grater effect. About 7,000 rnds. through one of the PM45s.

welcome aboard. you will find the Kahrs are a bit addictive, if your wallet can cope.

Welcome to Kahrland! My PM45 is super stiff as well, so much that I have to make sure I pull it back hard enough to hear a click to know a round was stripped off the mag and pointed at the feed ramp. Then let go and try not to get slashed by the slide serrations.

Welcome to the forum!

Sounds like you got a good one but you might consider a putting a few more boxes through the gun before retiring your M&P carry.

Thanks to all of you for your kind reception. I agree that a few more boxes are warranted to break in the PM45 as KAHR recommends. I belong to Scottsdale Gun Club here in Arizona and, as a retired Military Police Officer, try to practice with my three carry guns with at least a magazine full each week. Nice break in the day and keeps me in tune with whichever carry gun I am using. I suggest to everyone that this ongoing familiarization with your weapon is critical for when you actually need it!
