So I was overlooking my PM9 after I cleaned it from the last range trip and noticed the side panel screw is kind of screwed in at an angle and not flush. Does the side panel screw, screw into the frame itself or a different piece inside the frame? I have a T5 torx bit but didn't want to unscrew it and then try to screw it back in straight before I know what's going on underneath the panel first. The panel didn't pop off or anything and the screw itself isn't hanging out by any means just in catiwompas. Thanks.

It screws into polymer. I'd be reluctant to mess with it unless its really bothersome. Like the take down pin spring the less you mess with it the better. Easy to strip it out.

DO NOT try to straighten the screw, you will just f*up the threads in the polymer frame. If you must remove the panel, make sure you put it back in the same threads. How do i know? I`ve got tenth scale radio controlled cars that have screws going into plastic, aluminum, and graphite. I`ve screwed up many pieces.;)
