Worse things could happen. ;). Myself: I've been bitten by the "G" bug. :)

Awhile ago I bought a Para Carry LDA 3" thinking I needed to carry 45acp. Not so. My K40 does it better.

As 1911's go that's a fine looking specimen. Hope it shoots like it looks. Don't even need a new holster.

That's nice. Even has front strap checkering which I love. If it shoots as good as the G I have it would be a winner.

I migrated to smaller 1911 versions and then went back the other way to commander and full size.

Can't wait to see one of these in person.

Darn pesky bugs! I've been bitten by a 10mm critter myself.

I am going to stick with DAO for my CC weapons. I don't want a light single action trigger that a muscle spasm could set off if I was holding a suspect until police arrived.
The Kahr trigger gives me plenty of "wriggle" room in case of muscle spasms or whatever. It's not going to fire unless I mean for it too. 20 years ago that would have really appealed to me. This getting older crap aint for wussies.

I've had those same exact thoughts but I'm not gonna admit it. My hands and shoulders suddenly in the last week or so feel like rusty turnbuckles or something.

I refuse to give in to the whole old thing, least wise I'm holding out long as I can.

Yep getting old or having a disability does stink....I have a bad left wing and can grip ok but have trouble opening my left hand and it's getting progressivly more numb due to nerve damage....This problem has me really thinking whether or not I could clear a jam with an semi automatic pistol in time to keep a BG off me and in my heart of hearts I know the answer and it's no way so I'm toting a J frame as my CCW more and more as I know I can get off at least 5 with my one good hand....

I hate it but that's just how it is and it doesn't pay to lie to yourself and say you can do something that you know you really cant....Getting old and or having a physical disability sucks but we just have to be truthful to ourselves and handle a firearm with that disability in mind and stay safe....The time may come when I can no longer shoot safely and I hope I have the wisdom to know when that time is.....

Hopefully I'll know when that time comes and I can save the last round for myself.

+1 . Not that DAO is the best CC for everyone but it certainly is for me (includes DA revolvers). There are others that I enjoy but they are for other purposes. I think that's why I have "G" fever vs. the "U" bug. I really have an itch for a DE1911. I'm hearing that they are amazing quality for the $$$. It's just that I might as well get a 5" model since I'm not going to carry it.

P.S. I can't help getting old so I've vowed to stay immature.

ive been bitten by the Seecamp bug.

started with one in .32 for myself that my wife commandeered.

then another .32 for myself again.

then a .380 which is not fun to shoot but for the miniscule size of a normal wallet I will take the punishment.

You'd be surprised what you can do when push comes to shove. In fact, that's exactly how I rack the slide on all of my auto-loaders. :)

I have a Kimber Ultra Carry CDP II. Mine has been totally flawless and I have shot lot's of different factory as well as a steady diet of my handloads. The 3" 1911's are great pointers and I can shoot mine every bit as accurately as my Ed Brown commander size.
The Kimber finds it's way on my hip for work carry more than any othr gun I own.

You only live once......................if something makes you happy, why not. I don't know too much about them, but they are a nice looking firearm.

I still occasionally carry my Kahr MK40 Elite.
But everyone knows I'm a HK LEM man.
No physical issues these days.
I still get up at 3:33 AM and pump iron/do cardio.

But my favorite bug is my DOA S&W 342 ti Centennial Air Weight J-Frame.
And it's my deep cover pocket pistol of choice.

Favorite carry gun hands down -

What's it like at 3:33 am. Don't recall seeing that. My eyes are usually still firmly shut at that time of day which I don't even really consider a time of day, still a time of night to me.

You must not own a watch, if you had a watch you'd know it be night time and night time ain't no time to be in this here neighborhood.

It's dark and my alarm almost never goes off.
I just wake up and head to the gym.
And I don't own a watch.

Never pretended I was normal.
But you already knew that didn't you.

I went to bed at 3:34 the other night. But getting up that early: well that's just nonsense.

If it happens again, I'll "think" you a hello for the minute we overlap. :p
