Been thinking about getting a holster, so far only found one that carries really low like this holster, it is simple, and sits the gun way down inside the waistband, I like mine shoved all the way down to the rear sight and the belt clip would need to be roatated.

Here is the holster:

Here is a crudely shopped image of how the belt clip would need to be rotated:

Anybody make holsters like this that I could get one either modified or made along the lines of the one shown here?

I modified a Don Hume holster exactly as you pictured. Just restitched the belt clip using dental floss.

Found a holster, made by Black Hills Leather in Laredo, TX. Sent an email asking about a custom order that would let the gun ride low, got a response back within an hour, placed the order over the phone, sent a pic of the gun riding in jeans and Rudy Lozano said he would make it to let the gun ride exactly like it is in the pic. $49 + $12 shipping, about 2-3 weeks out.

Sent him this pic, let's see what he sends me!

Wow, 2 more days will be 3 MONTHS since this post was made, and I finally have in my possession a fine low ride IWB holster for the CW45! Boy, seems like things never go as planned, the 2-3 week lead time turned into 2 months, a bunch of phone calls, had to threaten to go to the bank and dispute the charges on the CC which got some action out of Rudy Lozano and the gang at Black Hills Leather.

Apparently by this time he/they had forgotten all of the details we both agreed on like low ride, with a forward cant, forgotten about the pictures I had sent of how I wanted the holster made, never bothered to look at them? He shipped me a default BH71 holster, not the BH71 #2 that I had ordered (and was printed on the invoice, had they bothered to look, they would have caught the mistake).

So.. Since you have the previous posts and photos to look at, let me fill in the story with photos.

This is what they shipped, the gun wouldn't fit in the holster at all, it hung on the ejection port and was SO tight you had to take the holster off and wrestle the gun into it.

Hangs on ejection port (arrow):

Needless to say, I was more than just a little pissed after waiting all this time and making sure he had photos and detailed clear instructions that we both had agreed on. So I cut the stitches holding the loop on and canted it, took more photos, then I finally took a manila folder and cut it to the exact shape I wanted, I added some leather at the top so it would cover more of the slide and not catch on the ejection port, and sent the holster back to them. Of course he promised to get right on it and turn it around in a day or two, yeah right.

Showing how much forward cant is needed:

Showing how top needed to be cut to cover more of the slide and not interfere with ejection port:

And FINALLY, LOL after 2 days shy of 3 MONTHS, we have just what the Doctor ordered! A very well executed low ride IWB holster that fits the gun well, sits low in the jeans, leans forward just the right amount, and covers the slide perfectly!

This is the best "deep cover" option I have found for the CW45, it minimizes the print under clothing as much as possible, and for all the time and trouble I went through to get it, I'm HAPPY with it! Anyone who likes this holster, feel free to borrow these photos, send them to your leather guy or order one of these from Black Hills Leather. I'm not going to rant any further about my experience with Rudy Lozano, he really tried to bring out a first rate holster, which he does do, he listens to what the customer wants (a-hem..) and if they don't wait 2mos between the time you place your order and they actually start on it, he may even remember details that you both agreed on.

Cost on this bad boy was a VERY reasonable $61.95 shipping included, which for the workmanship and materials used was a great bargain compared to other custom makers offerings. Would I recommend Black Hills Leather for a holster? Yes I would, but I cannot speak favorably about their delivery times. And like they say, YMMV!

I just got an Alien Gear IWB. Love it. adjusted the carry to the lowest point. Only the handle is above my belt. Long wait, but well worth it. $29.95 plus shipping about $36.50 total. 6 week wait.

Yep or a Sticky Holster

OP - Kudos to you for hanging in there and getting what you wanted. No way in hell would I have the patience for that. They would have had that original holster returned to them on the next thing smokin'
